The thing is, when you're a world leader, so many things that don't really seem to be important do matter very much.

I'll ask this again: Aren't there people whose job is to make sure things like this don't happen? Where were they?

Honestly, NO ONE CARES.

You know, with attitudes like that, it's no wonder there's so much conflict in this world.

"Oh, hey, the President of the United States gave our prime minister a box of DVDs.  Let's bomb those damn Yankees!"

Weren't you supporting Obama before? Is that really all changed because of something that has absolutely nothing to do with his policy?

God, Americans are stupid. I quit politics.

you know those dvds are region locked yes?

MagmarFire

Add region-locked to HnS's sarcasm, Dr., and you'll see that the concept still sounds ridiculous.

Oh no i believe it's rediculous, i was just throwing that out there.

When did I say this made me became anti-Obama? It's just when important people are treated with rudeness and then ignored, I consider it very important. Especially if the oppressors are also important people.

I always hate it when people say "no one cares" about something, because something is always cared about by someone. Apparently, I care about this, thereby disproving your statement.

Rudeness? It was a mistake, wasn't it?

Yeah, it's not like obama said to himself "lol i'll give him all these great movies he can't watch" he tried giving the prime minister a taste of american culture in the form of great classics

I KNOW!
I don't think it's official yet but Royal Mail is in touble so there are plans to sell a chunk to another European company. But loads of the MPs are "rebelling". =D

Darth Wyndisis

Besides, does the British prime minister have enough time to watch those movies?  And if he wanted to watch them its not like he doesn't have enough money to rent them on iTunes or wherever.

Wow, people. I really don't see the problem, here. The guy hasn't even been in office for three months yet, and already your tagging him with his trademark "historical event" that he's going to be remembered by. Nixon had Watergate, JFK had that assassination, Clinton had that...uh...scandle, George Bush had 9/11, Katrina, etc., and Obama has a failed attempt to give another country something nice? What is wrong with you people? Where is the sanity? Where is the faith? Where is the tolerance? Seriously, who cares?

Damn, try saying that five times fast.

You're right, though, Havoc. Personally, I hate how anything Obama does, big or small, is turned into a media frenzy. They've never done that for any other president, at least as far as I can remember. Every time you turn on the news, Obama's there, but not for signing a bill or travelling to a foreign nation for diplomatic reasons, but because they put in a new playset at the White House, he doesn't wear a jacket in the Oval Office, or because they finally got a dog.

The point is, none of this stuff is really important. I'm sure the Prime Minister will forgive Obama for giving him DVDs that he can't play (especially if he didn't know any better), but in the meanwhile, I'm more concerned about what Obama's gonna do for our country. If we keep getting hung up about such unimportant things, the big issues will become secondary, and that's typically not a good thing.
What, you expect me to say something witty?
