If I wanted travel Hyrule Sesame Street in a wooden train Thomas the Tank Engine, I would be overjoyed right now.

TP Zelda

^^^
Rotfl.

Chuck: Uhmmm I was kinda looking for MM remake but in Hyrule.

The Glamour Nazi

Well uh...

I really don't care so long as it's semi good.

TP Zelda

Yeah.
I hope it's good...
If not I WILL go insane.

FunTykoon

Guys, it's a April Fools joke. It's blatanly obvious. The conducter suit, the shadow-guard, THE FREAKING TRAIN, they would never do this stuff.

The Glamour Nazi

Ign doesthat crap.

Not official announcements.

And that is a pretty elaborate scam. SEnding it to everyone.

FunTykoon

Nintendo is trying there hand at April Fools. Watch and see.

TP Zelda

People DO go to great lengths to make an april fools joke.
...Though wouldn't it come out on April 1st?
...Doesn't matter.
But I saw this one movie trailer for a Zelda movie and it looked really real but it wsa just a prank.

The Glamour Nazi

But this was released in an official Nintendo press conference.

I doubt they'd do that.

They're still recovering from the last April fools joke.

When i hurt them.

Badly.

OK, I warned you guys. NOW YOU HAVE MADE ME VERY ANGRY.

FIRST OF ALL, Sesame Street is great. Don't act like it's not, most of us loved it at some point in time. Same goes for Thomas.

SECOND, this is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. What do you guys want? I can't believe that the same people who were dying for a new Zelda game are now nitpicking because IT HAS A TRAIN. Steam power was established in Phantom Hourglass; heck, it might have even been in Wind Waker, I forget. If they've found a "new Hyrule", it is reasonable to think that they'd build a simple train. Alternatively, the train could be some kind of special, Link-specific mechanic. Either way it's just a new way to get around that makes use of the DS's touch screen. Epona is great, we love Epona, but Epona wasn't in Wind Waker or Phantom Hourglass, either. Epona also doesn't have a built-in cannon.

THIRD, I find it ironic that the majority of us who are happy or excited about this game are older. Yet those of you who are complaining that it's for little kids, are younger. What does that prove? Maybe that you guys should suck it up and be happy that there is something to be happy about, instead of being pessimistic and petty. Maturity isn't determined by the rating of the video games you play, you know. It seems we're forgetting about that.

ARGH. It felt good to rant.
The Fourth! A webcomic about the hopeless case of the game villain.

"Tis music that soothes the savage beast, but the dagger that causes long slumbers."
- Me!

The Glamour Nazi

I said I wou;dn't mind it, I was just sorta shocked.

but that DS-i only game thing is messing me up.

but that's a different topic, And I'm 15, if that's older then who are you speaking of?

Hi no Seijin

ALSO: This is almost certainly not an April Fool's joke. Major companies don't make up major news at major conferences.
I'm going with KP here.
Best.  Cane.  EVER!

I am proud of your wait-and-see approach here, it's the right thing to do. But I said the majority, not all. You were the exception that caused me to include that word. >.>

Okay.

It's just I trust the People at Zelda to keep the games good, after all if they switched it to a kiddy, Casual gamer perspective they'd lose money from all the fans ditching, so they really won't do that, keep that in mind guys.

And yes, in my free time I watch sesame street, sue me.

I am not mad that it has trains. I'm mad because it's Phantom Hourglass. With the boats replaced with trains. I'm mad because I'm afraid. I'm afraid Nintendo will kill Zelda with this and future games like they murdered Mario with Mario Party and/or any sports game with the word Mario in it. They keep making complete crap like PH just to make money. Think about it this way: If it didn't have the LoZ title, would you be in the least bit excited? They're just making random games that are easy enough for anybody to beat blindfolded and putting their brand names on it. And the irony! A whole 2 years and all they can come up with is a proportionally-challenged train?! They better be working on a Zelda for Wii. A real Zelda. If not, Mr. Myiamoto will be very unhappy with the amount of spam in his inbox tomorrow morning.

Never said they weren't. Just said they don't belong in a Legend of Zelda game.
