First off, I have to say it-- although I myself had kind of wished it were the case, my departure (or at least, my informing you thereof) was not an elaborate April Fool's Joke.  I am indeed leaving.  So here's the topic where I'll be posting as things go.  I will be departing for basic training sometime int he near future, which makes no sense to me seeing as how if I were enlisting right off the bat without any previous military experience I wouldn't pass the physical exams... but we'll see how it goes.  Maybe they know something about me that I don't know myself.

So Monday at 0900 I will be driven down with several other recruits to Richmond, to take the WWJD and get checked out to make sure I fit the bill.  After that, they'll let me know what my signing (hah) bonus is and when I'll be leaving for basic.

In short, you'll know by Wednesday at the latest when my last day will be.

Heh, I don't even know if I'll have finally gotten any of my books ready to be published in four years.  I just know that I'll probably still be living in Virginia Beach; damn city grew on me in an ironic twist of fate.

as with many, I am unsure of my fate relating to these forums. In the next two years alone I will be moving out of my house and going to college, and my internet access is already limited.

Heh, thanks for all the good wishes-- and I'm sure that you'll all find time to at least visit TDC on a pseudo-regular basis...

I'm not sure, running for President in 4 years might be taking up a lot of my time...

But I do hope to be here in 4 years still.
