School Is Over Soon - So Let's Talk About What We Hate About It

Now that the school year is close to ending, it is a good time to talk about all of the terrible teachers you've encountered.

My History teacher used to be a good one, but shortly after Winter Break he became extremely nasty in the self-justifying way. Just a few days ago, when a student in my class but a completed test in a tray on his desk (which we usually do but he told us not to do it today), he took it out, ripped it to shreds, threw it into the garbage, and gave her a zero. Today, he asked a student to come to his desk while everyone was silently reading, and he discussed the student's complete failure of the course very, VERY loudly, clearly wanting everyone to know about it. And one time, when a pop up appeared on someone's computer (it was accidental, I sat behind him so I saw), he took away his computer rights for the rest of the year (that is, not just in History class, but in every class, including his computer class, which he then failed because he couldn't used them).

I have had other teachers exhibit bad behavior, too. My Geometry teacher has become much more strict lately, though over the course of the year her parents went into serious medical conditions and she had to take care of them, her and their houses, and their farm, so she is so stressed out that it can be easily overlooked. My computer teacher never really taught us anything herself, but her assignments were easy. Same can be said about my Consumer Science teacher. My Biology teacher is one of those bad teachers who think they're really good teachers, and they are so self-confident it makes it worse, so that made his class difficult, but I managed to pass. (Too late to change it significantly, now)

Anyway, my current grade averages are:

Biology - C. I got a D the second nine weeks, but everything besides that is Bs. I don't really remember much, though :-*
Computer - C. My specific class was PowerPoint, even though we also learned about Google Earth and MySpace. Took it during first and second nine weeks.
Art - A. I'm lucky; my teacher is one who won't give you anything but an A unless you are truly terrible. Took it during third and fourth nine weeks.
History - A. Not suprising at all.
German - It will either be a low B or high C. One of the two.
Gym - B. I've never been a gym person, so.... Took it during first and second nine weeks.
Consumer - B. Cooking and talking about babies and health and stuff. Cooking was fun. Third and fourth.
Geometry - C. It's really close, but I'm guessing I will have a high C.
English - B. Unless, of course, my Freshman Research Project (we have a big project on researching a self-chosen country) is graded badly. And my teacher is good but will deduct several points for tiny errors.

So what about you?

I don't honestly think any of my teachers are terrible this year. Well, everyone thinks the Precalculus teacher is terrible, and maybe he is, but I think he's awesome. He yells at telemarketers on his cellphone in class sometimes and insults people who are lazy.

as for grades:
Precal PAP: A-
Physics PAP: A+
Apparel: A+
English 4 AP: A+
Art 3: A+
Dance: A+
U.S. History AP: A-
German 3: A- to a B

That history teacher sounds like a jerk.  Was the popup something really bad?  I'm suprised that he could get away with taking away someone's computer rights in other classes.  Didn't any of the other teachers or school administration stop and say, "What do you think you are doing?" or anything?

There is a rule in my school that says if a student is seen using a computer for non-school purposes without teacher permission, then their computer rights can be taken away for the whole year. The pop-up was one of those things that brings up an actual website rather than an ad, and all it was was some "click here to win a million dollars" thing. He is unreasonable and refuses to go past his immediate judgement. Unfortunately, no one in the faculty questioned his ban when they saw it. We students were planning on telling the principal, but the combination of our laziness and the gigantic amount of work we've recieved lately got us off track.

I dont have any awful teachers, most are pretty good.
My worst teacher however is my ICT teacher! I hate her! The thing is she loves me and my friend, because we are some of the few people in my class who actually bother to work, mostly because we know that we are AWFUL at computers so need good coursework to pass, the rest of my class are utter computer nerds who already know everything ><
Anyway the thing is she doesn't teach! She tells us what to do, but not how to do it! Me and my friend just have to ask everyone else what to do, which they usually don't know.
Plus she spends most of the lessons talking about how she has about a million degrees and hoiw "water makes you fat" and whenever anyone points out a mistake she goes on about her her life is awful because she has dyslexia.
We don't really get told what grades we are getting over here, we just get told our predicted grades that they think we will get in our GCSEs, mine are all A*s I think. But I know that I wont get that, there will probably be a few As as well.

However one of the things I hate most about my school are the uniform rules! i dont mind having a uniform but the fact that they say if we dont wear our blazer we cant take our exams. That is just stupid, and a group of boys in my year shaved their heads for charity and were almost suspended, and some girls dyed parts of their hair bright colours for a party and it hadn't washed out by monday and they were nearly sent home!

My social studies teacher is a horrible person. We cant have a pencil up while she is talking ( equals no notes whatsoever). Only teaches one day of the week, the rest is us doing book work. She doesn't let us laugh over something unless she does, and even then she tells us to be quiet. And the worst thing about it is that she pulls the Jesus Christ card everytime she thinks we are mad at her.

My English teacher's a crazy old cat lady. She just gave us this huge research project, told us to finish it in two weeks, doesn't let us take anything we need out of the classroom, and gives us a different assignment everyday in class! How are we supposed finish if she won't let us?! English has always been my strongest subject. I've always done good. But this is the only year I'm getting anything under an 80. Why is this? I'll give you a hint; It's not me with the problem.

Oh, and she has like, five thousand cats, two of which are named "brick" and "stone".  XD

I'm going to say it, my programing teacher is an evil [derogaory word for women], we were just done viewing a new topic (something about bidimensional arrays) and as soon as she is done explaining she tells us to do a new program under her specifications (with 15 minutes left). While just a few have finished by then, she asks us to do a new one (with just 2 minutes left!) and when we start to complain about it, she tells us to do it fr homework and leaves the room with her cynical laughter as echoing in the hallway.

I have a like/hate relationship with my english teacher; he actually has taught us well, but he gives a ton of work for the end of the month, while we usually just chat in the rest of the classes.

I like most of my teachers, but some others I actually consider stupid...

Don't you hate it when teachers don't seem to have any real knowledge about anything they're talking about? To talk about my history teacher again, he has, several times, mixed up easy to remember events in History. He once said Pearl Harbor went to WWI for about half the class period. We were too afraid to correct him because we would probably be yelled at.

Fishalicious

Our History teacher does that to keep us on our toes. She wanted use to put even amounts of three categories among the thirteen colonies. ... thirteen isn't divisible by three without remainders.

Another teacher who I am not too fond of is my Religious Studies Judaism teacher.
He is a very good teacher I must say, he has been working at my school for like 40 years and uses simple methods of teaching, basically he talks and talks while we write, so many teachers try to use new and modern techniques to "stimulate" us, but I find his just works really well.
The thing I hate about him is his utter bias on everything. He is a Christian and loves to tell us how without religion and guidance we will ruin our lives, how the youth of today are all idiotic prats and how "oppinions are ****" when he goes on to give his oppinion on anything and everything under the sun.
He also once said to my friend that there should be no vaccination against cervical cancer (which can be caught through sex) because it will just encourage girls to be sluts, and only slags get it anyway. What sort of thing is that to tell a bunch of 16 year olds?!
Also because he has been at the school for so long he basically runs it, even the headmaster is scared of him.

That is ridiculous.  What is her point in doing that?

The Glamour Nazi

Maybe complete focus on her?

I didn't have anything to complain about school, but it's cause I'm homeschooled maybe.

Dude, some people are just messed up. She went through segregation and crap like that and I think it messed with her head.
