It's my understanding that Nintendo plans to unveil a new Wii Mario game tomorrow.

I'm going to be pretty upset if that's all.

CURSE YOU KOJIMA!

For the 360

Aw well.  At least 360 owners get a taste of the awesomeness that is Metal Gear Solid.

Never mind, it's looking to be multi-platform.

Deku

Yeah, we're packing up after school tomorrow in Sean's car, and heading to Dave's to watch Nintendo's showcase. They'd better do something to impress me. If I don't see anything impressive by the end of this year's E3, I'm packing up my stuff, and moving on to Microsoft.

And that's no joke either. ::)

Gamefreak

To me, this is a do or die moment for Nintendo.

No good games in over a year and if they don't give me anything to look forward to at e3, I'm jumping ship on Nintendo.

Uximadesk

Anyone noticed the camera shown duing Ubisoft's showcase?
It seems Wii is following Microsoft's example, or maybe they were born at the same time...

Nintendo's e3 is pretty VERY underwhelming so far.

Golden Sun 3 is the only worthwhile mention at the time of this post.

gg Nintendo, Women's Murder Club and a Heart Monitor, and some girly fashion game.

Nintendo: 1985-2009

Metroid is bringing it back.

Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days and Xion's English voice say, "Hi"? >.>

Anyway, it wasn't as much fail as last year's, but no new Zelda news, of course. However, we were told that it was an optimistic expectation for even E3, so I'm glad I'm not completely surprised.

Advanceshipping and Rion had better be Chuck Norris approved.

It does beat last year's conference, there's no doubt about that.

But Nintendo needs to lay off the gas a bit with Mario games.

It's my opinion though, that the last second Metroid game saved it from rivaling last year's.

If I don't get get a Zelda game soon, it"s going to hit the fan.

Ball's in your court Sony.

Sony's Conference so far:

Uncharted 2 gameplay trailer
MAG Demo
PSP Go!
Metal Gear Solid - Peacewalker
Final Fantasy XIII
Final Fantasy XIV

DW

I guess they kinda already did the Zelda thing earlier.

Also, FF XIII and XIV at the same time?  :o Not much production time between them, huh?

Final Fantasy XIV is going to be an MMORPG.

Also, to add on to PS3's event.  Assassin's Creed 2 footage and God of War 3 footage.

I have some pretty good news, depending on your expectations. Yes, it is Zelda related. :)

I read a roundtable discussion with Miyamoto, and what is described is quite intriguing:

Quote7:03 p.m.: [Miyamoto] [ s ]hows new illustration for the next Zelda for Wii. Nothing to show yet, but it shows an adult link. More grown up than ever before.

7:04 p.m.: "We'd like to make it compatible with Wii MotionPlus. It's quite possible it will be playable only with Wii MotionPlus."

7:05 p.m.: "Think of Zelda while you're trying some of the archery and sword play in Wii Sports Resort," Miyamoto say.

"7:05 p.m.: "There are people who think of Zelda more as an RPG with simpler controls, so trying to figure out how to make everybody happy is something that's going to concern me," says Miyamoto.

Discuss.

Ah yes.  A picture of Link is Nintendo's big reveal.

No offense, but I don't think there's a gamer who didn't know Nintendo was working on a new Zelda.  To get 2 new Mario games for Wii, and a new Metroid game, the only thing that shows that Nintendo is doing what everybody knew they were is a picture, is still a dissapointment.
