Is astraphobia the fear of the stars?  If so, then yeah, probably.

That's astrophobia, or also siderophobia. Astraphobia is a fear of thunderstorms.

Advanceshipping and Rion had better be Chuck Norris approved.

I don't like thunderstorms but I like them more than I dislike them.
Unless they're really really loud and they're unexpected...

I love thunderstorms. <3

But I have a fear of bed bugs. I always feel like there's something crawling up my leg.  ;)

I wouldn't call it fear exactly, but whenever I see the full moon high in the sky I get nervous and antsy, like if I want to do something about the moon being up there.

I think you've been playing too much MM, dude. Lol.

I have no interesting irrational fears.  :(

Hallelujah

I'm afraid of ninjas, but really if a ninja came at you wouldn't you be terrified too?  ;)  ... unless your Chuck Norris  ::)

apart from that, when I'm in a really high place the ground scares me a lot.

Fishalicious

Did I mention I'm terrified of cheesegraters/beltsanders/that stuff? I mean I guess it's not irrational because I'm seriously afraid I will just pick one of them up and just start grating my face off or something.

But I never do so I'm just sitting there terrified of the cheesegrater. kaj;

Hallelujah

a friend of mine acidentaly let his hand toutch a belt sander that he was working on and it ripped off a big bit of skin ... it was sorta my fault cause I was talking to him when it happened ... that was in grade nine by the way.

I have a similar thing actually, it's not a fear, I'm totally cool with grating cheese ya know,  but they still make me shiver. I think it is a combination of reading about a Roman Emperor who kills a fisherman by grating off his face with the fish he just caught (it had rough scales) and a dream i had where someone cut a bit of my skin on my leg away and started cheese grating my shinbone.
Eurgh.

Oh yeahhh I don't really know if this would be considered irrational or not but I has a big fear/interest (mostly fear, like 99% fear anf 1% interest XD) of the paranormal/extraterrestrial...

Hi no Seijin

Heh, usually, I'm not afraid of the paranormal, such as ghosts and whatnot, as I don't believe in that stuff, having never been a witness to it myself.  But at night, if I start reading about that type of stuff, I get really nervous, which is made worst because I know I shouldn't be afraid.

You see that moon on monday night? It was extremely bright.

Seeing a flash with my eyes closed freaks me out. It's not fun.

I totally agree with you on that. I'm not afraid of ghosties of any kind, but if I'm reading something about ghosts at night, I start to see them flicker in and out of my peripheral vision. haha.

I have quite a few friends who are scared of ghosts and the supernatural (actually one of my friends is just scared of everything including almost all animals and anything remotely spooky) but it just doesn't bother me.It's odd since it's not that I don't believe in any of it, I just think the part of me that is fascinated always over rides the part of me that is scared. Various times I've been out with them at night and we hear a noise in a bush or something and everyone runs away screaming while I just stand there.
