Yeah, I gave Zelda her sword too. It doesn't change her moveset; it just makes her moves faster and longer-ranged, save for kicks.

As a more solid argument, they replaced Mario Tornado.  I can remove Captain Falcon from my roster if I want to.

Actually, they replaced Mario's Dair with the Mario Tornado. *is shot*
Yeah, I know.  I just somehow failed to mention that. >>

How many swords are there in Smash now? I'm getting at least seven or eight. Then two hammers...man we need some lances or axes.
Which is totally why Amelia should be in the roster.  She uses lances and she's cute.  What better reasons are there to include her?!

As for axes, I still insist on Titania despite never having played FE 9 or 10 simply because Titania reminds me so much of my own character, Rose Hillmound.  At least in looks; it's like she's an older version of Rose, but with red hair.

There you go, Blank.  I still need the picture of Titania you modified for me.

It'd be interesting to have someone in the game who isn't a fighter, but a healer. Like, their attacks are very weak, but they can...well, heal.

I've always thought that'd be a cool idea, but the rules for healing would have to be set...I mean, like every time you hit, you heal a little, or a special move that heals you after accomplishing something, like a set amount of damage dealt to opponents.

The only reason it couldn't just be a normal special move being All-Star mode rest areas...UNLESS you just made a specific exception that you can not heal during these times.

Also, Shika, I took your advice on Micaiah's moveset and altered her Down B.

DW

I wish I could remember what the advice was.

Maybe for healing...hmm...maybe it could be one of her taunts that would be disabled during the in between stages? Could be taunt, could be...maybe something like how Fox talks with ships and Snake uses the Codec. Those only work on certain stages, you could set the healing to only work on stages.

The advice was "don't make her down b counter!"

Actually, let me go ahead and post my moveset for Micaiah, because it still needs help. I do all the research I can, but I've never played Radiant Dawn.

B: Shine-Targets an nearby opponent and implodes light upon them after a very brief charge.  Very difficult to avoid, but a tad weak.

B>: Nosferatu-Micaiah fires from her hands forward a short ranged, slow beam of light. It can only hit one person, and if it does, the damage dealt to the opponent heals Micaiah, like an HP drain.

B^: Thani-Micaiah shoots upward in a beam of light. In contrast to her other moves, GREAT knockback.

Bv: Corona-In a radius around Micaiah, light rises from the ground. Opponents touched by the light are unable to defend for a short while.

Final Smash-Rexaura-Well...it's Rexaura. A giant ball of light crashes into the ground and explodes for massive damage.

MagmarFire

She should have a third recovery move, though, unless Thani covers it. If it doesn't, I suggest making that her Usmash instead.

Hi no Seijin

Um, yeah, I'm not too crazy about having a healer as a playable character.  I can already see noobs avoiding everyone and constantly healing themselves.

And I'm not sure, but can Micaiah use Dark and Light magic?  I thought I read somewhere that she uses Anima. :-\

^ And you can bet that stages that make it much easier for characters to camp are banned to help prevent it. Bridge of Eldin is an example. Besides, you'd think that campers would be annoying to the point of being double- or triple-teamed by the others just to have the nuisance removed. :P

The move would have reasonable disadvantages, of course, possibly to the point of making the move useless or highly situational at best to prevent it from being game-breaking.

In my honest opinion, having characters that can heal themselves would be just too much of a waste (in terms of a move slot) and kind of nonsensical given the whole fighting and action thing. Wouldn't serve much of a tactical advantage.

DW

Nosferatu is dark magic...I'm not sure whether Micaiah is Anima or Light, but I know she isn't Dark.

I'll let you play Fire Emblem while we're on the plane to England so you can get a feel for the characters and such.

Thani would cover as an Up B. For the sake of recovery, she would shoot that ball of light downward like when she uses Thani in Radiant Dawn that causes an upward shooting beam of light as such as is in the animation of the "Thani" attack, which rockets her upward in a beam of light.

As for Nosferatu, I think...it would be balanced enough to be useable without being cheap. Also, Nosferatu is light magic in Radiant Dawn. The theme of "Nosferatu" is that in every Fire Emblem game, it switches between light and dark magic.

There are plenty of moves that are just there to take up move slots or are highly situational, or they even have defining properties that are highly situational. It's a part of balancing the game.

Case(s) in point, (if I recall correctly) Marth's Bthrow is considered worthless compared to most of his other throws, particularly his Dthrow.

Lucario's DownB is also considered nigh-on useless, at least in 1v1s, since it has so much start-up lag (and causes no hitlag, unlike with Marth's and Ike's Counter) that your opponent has plenty of time to shield it or sidestep it and punish his cooldown lag.

Jigglypuff has a bunch of these, I believe. Jigglypuff's Sing is considered highly situational at best, and I usually only see it used while people are planking the ledge. Plus, it excels at aerial combat, whereas you'd be hardpressed to find someone decent who prefers a ground approach over simply attempting to gimp his/her opponent.

Well, i know i'm late here, but they'd probably use a more popular character from fe then her, probably ephraim, and for axes titania would be a horrible idea, because having her on her horse would be far too broken, and taking her off would take away from who she is, boyd is a much better choice

personally, i'd love to see mcaihah in the next smash game, maybe even sothe

Hi no Seijin

Didn't they take Fox out of his Arwing in the original Smash Bros?  I know they definitely took Captain Falcon out of his....whatever his vehicle is called.  *has only played an F-Zero game once back in middle school, and it was a rental*

Smash already has plenty of popular characters in it.  It would be refreshing to see characters who don't get a lot of attention outside of their respective games' fandom included.
