My dream

My dream is to become a comedian. Not when I am twenty, but now.
I think I have funny jokes compared to some of the guys on Comedy Central, and new jokes are falling out of me everyday. Most of them are focused on being a kid and the greatness and suckness of it. I want to get a show at a bar ( My cousin works at a local radio station, and can hook me up if needed), but I am afraid that the adults won't like the jokes ,but not because they aren't funny, but because I am a teenager. After I got my bar show, I would record it, and send it in to the folks at CC. Hopefully I can get a show, then release a DVD which I have titled "Minor Setbacks". If I am on TV, I will be thinking of you guys.

Cookie to who guesses why I call it Minor Setbacks.

I think it might work aside from the fact that adults might look down on me for being a kid.

Its understandable. But I think that humor is humor. If the jokes are really good then the adults will laugh at the fact that its funny, even if they cant relate. You just have to prove yourself! AND I BELIEVE IN YOU!

I've got no idea how good you are, but if you believe you are good enought then go for it.
I don't think adults not liking it is a major problem. Everyone was young once, plus I'm a huge fan of comedy (can't do it myself though) and some of my favourite comedians are very young, and some of them are very old. Even when it is an older person doing comedy about themeslves being old I can still find it amusing.
Of course not everyone will like it, there are some majorly successful comedians who I don't find funny at all, but everyone has critics.
In the end as Takun said if it's funny people will laugh.

So go for it!! I'll be rooting for you!

Try not to think that age is an obstacle. After all, relating it to martial arts, some of the most KA fighters are those who are young. Just go through with it if you're up to it. After all, an opportunity like this doesn't turn up everyday, right?
