Just a Random Thought

Yesterday I was comparing Zelda maps
and I came across an interesting discovery
in the similarities of the south of the map
of TP and the north of OoT and I decided to
write a theory on how the land of Hyrule
during the time between both games.
This was made purely for fun so please don't
take anything too seriously or leave any
harsh comments.

[NOTE: This is based on some observations
and enhanced by my overly creative brain.
Also I find that it works with both
my split and linear timelines, though I don't
know about the rest of you.  Here goes!]

Following the events of OoT after child
Link warns the princess of Ganondorf's
planned attack, Ganondorf and the
Gerudo army flee to the Desert
Colossus.  The Hylian army give chase
and defeat the Gerudo on the grounds of
the Spirit Temple.  After exploring the
grounds they come across the ancient
Mirror of Twilight hidden deep in the
temple.  They reclaim that along with
many other treasures and make off with
them back to the castle bringing Ganondorf
to be locked away until he can be
sentenced to execution.  When the
commander-in-cheif of the Hylian forces
report their findings, the king of Hyrule
orders his men to construct a building
in the colossus N/NW of the temple [as to
not disturb the hallowed grounds of the
Spirit Temple and as to not disrespect the
remaining Gerudo that have sworn their
allegiance to Hyrule in defiance of
Ganondorf[most likely under influence of Nabooru]]
and turn it into a jail/exicution house
dubbed the Arbiter's Grounds
[this was done with the aid of the Gerudo].
When they finish, the king had the Mirror
of Twilight housed there to banish
criminals who commited crimes too severe
to be put to death. The Council of Sages
call to order to perform their first
execution on the former King of Theives
(these are not the same ones as in OoT
because this is in the time of child Link
when he was sent back in time
and the OoT sages were never awakened).
However unable to be killed with the Sword
of Sages, Ganondorf breaks his bonds and
slays the the Sage of Water who tried
to execute him.  Taken by surprise,
the other sages activate the Twilight Mirror
and banish him to the Twilight realm thus
sealing him forever.

Or so was thought...

[[An unknown amount of time passes by afterwards
and Hyrule is still in peace.]]

Since Hyrule is like all other kingdoms
with lots of land, a powerful monarchy and
many allies, it still has one desire; a
desire to expand [and it does just that].
The kingdom of Hyrule decides to expand its'
territories and the first place they look is
to is the North.  Seeming uninhabited they
claim this land as their own and name
it Hyrule [this being the same Hyrule
in TP].  To keep the far northern border
watched over while they build, the present
king of Hyrule [for it is not clear whether
it is the same as from OoT] has the
Zoran monarchy move north to the head of
the river [now to be called Zora's river]
at the base of the mountains of that
region[namely the Snowpeak Mtns].

The new castle of Hyrule is built and is
located in the middle of a vast valley
[now called Hyrule Field].
The lake south of the castle is renamed Lake Hylia
like that of the lake in the old kingdom though it is
not as big.  With its small size it cannot
provide the adequate amount of water needed
support the people of Hyrule so they
diverge part of the river to speed up the
flow of water.[This resulted in an increase
in the lake to the size it is in TP and the split in
the north part of Zora's River.]
To finally, mark their Eastern borders
they added in the old Death Mtn and the
village of Kakariko to the south.
The Western borders are marked by the Snowpeak
Mtns and the far west of the Great Desert.

[[At this point both lands are combined.]]

While the vast majority of the people began to
move north, some stayed behind forming a village
[or a few] around Lon Lon Ranch with its people
taking to a ranching life style [these would be
the ancestors of the in habitants of Ordon Village
in TP].

[[More time passes by with subtle changes to
different regions and such, much to the point it
is in TP.]]

As time passes the lands of old Hyrule [with barely
any people living there] is taken over by the elements.
The lands around the old castle and the [Ordon] village
are covered in forest.  The New Kingdom is divided into
provinces [known as Ordon Province, Faron Province,
Lanayru Province, etc.].  The New Kingdom breaks off
with the uninhabited lands of the Old Kingdom and marks
its Southern border with the Faron and Ordon provinces.

[[More time goes by until Hyrule finally looks as it
does in TP.  Not long after happens the events of TP.]]

The End.

[Enjoy!!  Leave comments.
If there are any mistakes
please inform me, thanks.;D]

Just now, not giving it any real thought. The only thing I find "wrong" about this is why they would make the Gorons and Zoras move along with them, as this takes a lot of resources and a LOT of stuff to do when they reach their new home. Surely the Gorons and Zoras live withing Hyrule's borders (OoT) but that doesn't mean they have been given consent to live there. If you ask me, it's more likely that Gorons and Zoras have been living there a lot longer than Hylians.. It's just that Gorons and Zoras don't feel the need to conquer new areas like Hylians do. Then again, they might've moved after them voluntarily, scared that some sort of power will come and try to conquer them when they're volunerable.
Great job on figuring it out, even if it gets disproved :)  :P

Mysterious F.

I don't think that Ordon is the former Lon Lon Ranch. I mean, really, just try to compare the distance between the Ranch and Castle Town in Ocarina of Time to the distance between Ordon and the Castle Town in Twilight Princess. Considering that there are also houses made on/inside of trees with signs outside stating who lives there, the existence of a Forest Temple, and the Sacred Woods, a more likely explanation is that Ordon could be a former Kokiri village.
