I start in September (the 3rd, I think).  It's coming up fast.  I am in my second half of my junior year.

I thought we started on the second. :-\

Advanceshipping and Rion had better be Chuck Norris approved.

Oops, you're right.  I was was thinking it was the 3rd because it starts on Wednesday (the 3rd day of the week).

So have you bought your books yet, Mags? Mine cost a total of 240. Took a significant amount of searching around to find the best prices. But looking around will definitely be worth it, since the school bookstore tends to grossly overcharge on most stuff.

MagmarFire

You know, I haven't yet, and I probably should. ???

Does Barnes and Noble have them at better prices usually?

Mysterious F.

I start on the 27th. I'll be in 10th grade. My classes for the first half of the year are:
1st. Chemistry (The teacher knows my parents...  :'( )
2nd. Art II (The teacher loves me)
3rd. Honors English (see below)
4th. Lunch (Duh)
5th. Drama I (Figured I might as well try to leanr about acting, since I like movies and all)
6th. German II (I might as well stick with the same language)
7th. Algebra II (I'm not into math, but I am told I'm good at it)
8th. World Cultures (Looking forward to it)

Also, when we left school at the beginning of the summer, the tenth grade English teacher gave my Honors class To Kill a Mockingbird to read over the summer. Luckily, we already read it in 8th grade (we figured it would be easier for us not to tell her), so...

It's better to go for Amazon Marketplace and ebay. Also, most major universities have  a site with their own bookstore where you can order your books online. You should check to see what the cheapest prices for used books are.  I bought half my books used from the School Bookstore and the other half used from amazon. Overall, I got the cheapest prices I could .

Half.com is also pretty good. Bought my Art book from them at a lower price than available from amazon marketplace.

As a general rule, always buy from amazon marketplace, rather than from the actual store, as often the marketplace (re)sellers will have it at a much reduced price than the SRP of the actual store.

Morning classes suck. You'll probably be late to most of them.

All my classes are in the afternoon.

Monday and Wednesday

Tuesday and Thursday,
Literature and Culture 11am-12:15pm
Drawing I (2pm-4:50pm)

Tuesday Only
Public Speaking, 6pm-8:50pm

15 hours total.

I begin on the 24th.

My school has a schedule where there are very, very few classes on friday. Thus, it's very easy to get friday off.

I'll keep that in mind. My mom does seem to like the idea of getting them online.

Yes. Online seems to be the way to go. I found all of my textbooks for under 200 dollars including s&h. so yay! and I had 7 or 8 books.

Guess how much it would've cost if she had bought them all used at her bookstore?

Go on, guess. I'll wait.
