Does that basically mean that member is a moderator or an administrator in the Forsaken Fortress, or whatever the mod/admin board is called?

When a member is hidden, it means they've enabled being "hidden" in their personal options.  It'll show that there's someone there, but it won't say who it is.  You can check it out for yourself by fiddling with your Profile options at the top of the board.
