They just caught the balloon a few minutes ago, and it was empty. They're wondering if the boy fell out (unlikely) or if there wasn't one in the first place (likely).

It bothers me how you think we should all be attuned to the news, mainly specific topics that happen so freaking fast. Some of us have more important things to do than pay attention to mindless idiot boxes.

Besides, my original post in this thread was a general comment "Whooo, it's fake, why the hell are we bothering with this again?"

I have to say that the whole thing was rather silly. The  boy was found, why does it matter. I know it is kind of a *facepalm* moment, but that doesn't really bring about mind blowing comments from me.

What a lot of people are saying is that the father just wanted to draw attention to his prototype air balloon. They say that he's a scientist, and an eccentric one at that. It is said that the only way he could have drawn attention to it was to make the public believe that there was a child inside of it. I'm not going to be the one to point the finger, but I thought I'd make this small contribution to the topic.
