There is less than two months until the noughties (or, as us Americans would say, naughties) are over. I hope you enjoyed the decade, there is no denying its importance.

Ah, yes. We must remember all the awesome stuff that happened this decade.

I mean, how many Zelda games did we get these past ten years? Six, at least?

I always it assumed it went faster when you get older.

No, everyone older than (say) 30 that I know usually thinks that time moves too slow.

Yeah, I think the overall consensus is that time seems to go by faster the older you get.  It certainly has in my experience.  It makes sense for it to be that way because the older you get, a given amount of time becomes a smaller proportion of the time you've been alive.  A year for a 5 year old is essentially 1/5 of their life while a year for a 50 year old is 1/50 of their life.  That is the best explanation for this phenomenon that I have ever heard.

Also, technically, the decade doesn't end until December 31, 2010.

Actually, I think it would be equal to the limit of the timeline as our time approaches 12:00 A.M. on January 1, 2010. ^^;

Technically 1990 is part of the 80's. Does anyone actually care, though? When referring to decades, it is a given to start from year zero and end at year 9, as in 1990-1999.

Well the thing is we're getting old and by the end of this year I will have practically seen two decades go by.
