Why can't people just take things at face value? DX *goes into the corner and pouts*

(Sorry if I came across as overly defensive, Colonel. :P The emoticon you used kind of made it seem like you were a bit miffed.)

Wow, just think... It was about ten years ago I saw all those ads about the year 2000 on Nickelodeon and how it was a bit of a futuristic theme and stuff. Ah, good times. :P
I remember that =]
yay for thinking I was going to wake up and it be like the Jetsons =]

Those years were awesome... ^_^

I have a feeling the early Noughties also included the year when my friends and I were having an awesome summer role playing and playing video games. Man, I miss that summer. T_T

That's okay.  ;)

Back on topic, I was a bit young, but I remember a lot. Most of all, I remember the Christmas my siblings and I got our Gamecube. The only game we had for quite awhile on it was Super Mario Sunshine and my older brother only ever played it, while my sister and I watched.

My older brother barely even talks to me anymore. Today is my birthday and he didn't even say "Happy Birthday" or anything.  :-*

I miss 2002  :(

My older younger brother barely even talks to me anymore.
Yeah, my brother's a bit of an ***hat as well.  He treats the house as just a place to shower and sleep, and sometimes eat.  I really should hide the leftovers from him if he can't have the decency to join the family for a meal.
Best.  Cane.  EVER!

I've brought back this topic because the cover story of Time's latest issue is "The Decade From Hell: And why the next one will be better." Basically, they hated it. Really, not much to be nostalgic about, once you think about it: 9/11, Islamic radicals, George W. Bush, economic problems, Hurricane Katrina...

MagmarFire

Not to mention the recession. That would be an understandable reason.

Even though the world didn't end, it was very close to making me wish it had.

Yeah I posted a link to that article on GF's facebook wall. This has been a rather depressing decade.
