I confess I swear way too much sometimes. And I have a temper problem.

I confess that makes two of us.

Uximadesk

That makes three of us.
I confess I like getting older people mad just for the heck of it.

I confess I like annoying older people too, especially the counseler at school just to see the look on her face. (Sovelis knows what I'm talking about  ;))

Keaton

I confess I am incredibly sexy.

Vaati

I confess I don't admire anyone but Vaati! Haha! :D

o0Zelda0o

I confess I cheated in my History test today.  ???

Peka

I confess I did very well on my finals today!  :D

I confess that I love mathematics. :D

Heh, I even came up with a division by zero theory. :P

Advanceshipping and Rion had better be Chuck Norris approved.

Twilight Wolf

I confess that I've forgotten how to do proofs over Christmas Vacation.

What's the theory you have on division by zero, MagmarFire? Sounds pretty interesting.
What, you expect me to say something witty?

o0Zelda0o

I confess I can't stand I.C.T

Well, if you insist... ;)

Well, to start, we all know that zero has no real reciprocal. After all, if it were, (according to my theory) it would be 1/0. As we all know, we can't divide by zero in the real number set. But! We also can't take the square root of a negative number. I mean, after all it was Euler (I think) who screwed the rules and thought up the concept for i, so why couldn't I screw them and divide by zero? Know what I mean? :P

Anyvay, let's just say that zero's reciprocal is 1/0. That would mean, of course, that 1/0 x 0 = 0/0 = 1. (0/0 is technically not a real number, but if you can divide by zero, you should be allowed to reverse the process, which leads to 0/0.)

Next, we know the product of two perpendicular lines' slopes is -1. We can't use vertical lines because they don't have a defined slope, but alas, DIVISION BY ZERO GIVES ME SUPER-STRENGTH!!! We have x (slope of a vertical line) times 0 (slope of a horizontal line) = -1. After solving for x, we get x=-1/0, which I refer to as (null).

Where does this have any "plausible" use, you might ask? Let's try putting it in the Point-Slope Theorem. Let's say we have a vertical line that goes through the point (6, 12). Just by looking at it, you can see that its equation is going to be x=6, but we can "prove" it using (null).

After plugging all the numbers in, we get this:

y-12=(null)(x-6) which also gets us y-12=-1/0*(x-6)

Now let's put it in slope-intercept form. But we should get rid of that zero in the right side of the equation... We do that by multiplying both sides by zero, giving us...

0=-1(x-6)

Now we solve for x. First, let's divide both sides by -1. We get this:

0=x-6

Now add 6 to both sides to get...

x=6 !

OMZVG! dats teh same equashun as b4!!! O_o

Y' get me? :P

You know what? I confess that I actually understood all of that. That's a very nice theory you have there!
