When you get to college and have to call home to ask your parents to pay for the rest of your books because you don't have any money, you're going to down right hate it.  I owe my mom and dad $48 for my literature book (which is going to be very hard for me to part with at the end of the semester, but I'm going to need that $24 I'll get back for it), $23.90 for my Bio 151 book (and that was actually $138ish), and $10 for my CPS remote, which will let me answer questions in my Stats 210 class.  Plus, I need $20 for a lab manual for my Bio 151 lab.

By the way, all of the above leads to my confession:  college textbooks are freaking expensive.
