I really think there is sort a tipping point though, like if a burger is too greasy it is just disgusting.

This is true.

Unfortunately I have a fairly low grease tolerance, so I tend to get icky-feeling if I eat too much of something greasy.

Then again, maybe that's a good thing. A natural aversion to greasiness could mean an advantage in keeping unwanted fat away.

Ground beef seems to be easier to grill when it has higher fat content, mostly because it doesn't dry out as much as the lean stuff.

This applies to pizza as well.  Cici's pizzas are greasy and bland, but I still love them for their sticky buns.
