Why is there an X and Y button on the same side as the analog stick?  My logic dictates that any button on the side of the controller with the analog stick that controls character movement be in a position that the index finger can easily press while keeping the thumb on the analog stick.  It's why I rarely use Forms and never use summons in Kingdom Hearts II; the right analog stick no longer moves the cursor up and down the command menu, and I like to move around and dodge attacks when I'm trying to access magic or items.  If the L button didn't bring up the shortcut menu, I would rarely ever cure myself.

What's cool is that the one I bought is brand-new. Still in the original plastic wrap until a few minutes ago. That thing's been sealed up for ten or eleven years and never used.

They're not particularly valuable or anything, though. I could get a brand-new one on eBay for $10.

Actually, it still does if you hold down L2 while moving the right analog stick, I think. You can also change the button map so that the right analog stick by itself changes menu selections and moves the camera when L2 is also pressed. Just go to the config menu.
