I'm not sure if I like the original or Brotherhood more. I love them both. The first one has... I don't know, sentimental value or something for me, and the story was amazing. So was Brotherhood's, but I can say Brotherhood definitely had a better ending. And, of course, the whole being in HD thing makes the artwork even more beautiful.

Chuck, trust me, you wouldn't have a problem watching HD videos if you had a computer like mine. ;D

My computer can play high quality.

It can play Blu-Ray quality.

I've seen some of them in 1920x1080 and FMA brotherhood is STILL choppy, I have an awesome monitor and video card. My job paid off last summer.

Now Gurren Lagann has amazingly smooth quality throughout. Well, episode 5(?) with the guest director was a bit... Different, but still had smooth animation.

And like I said, FMA got choppy in the things that it really needs to be smooth during. Namely the action scenes.

CLANNAD also had some smooth action animation, but it doesn't have a lot of action scenes.

I'm not saying it's a bad show, quite the opposite, FMA brotherhood is great, and I know it's subjective, but it's not the best anime out there, at least in my opinion, and I may seem shallow since it doesn't seem like I talk like I've seen many other anime out there by different animation houses than GAINAX.

Like I said before, it's a great show, but it suffers of choppy animation in the action scenes when it's smooth in all other scenes.

You may actually, just to try them out, want to watch something by GAINAX.

All in all I give FMAB around 8.2, it's worse parts being that the original got so far ahead that they needed a second show to tell the real story, and of course the animation, the Story gets high marks and as does the soundtrack.*

I found the Vista version and downloaded that and it's UNBELIEVABLY better.
