Just got home with my new 3DS. It really is as cool as everyone says it is. :)

Loving OoT. My friend told me that in the 3DS booklet, it said they were doing Majora's Mask 3D as a downloadable. I found 2 things wrong with that story-

1. The game would be far too big to download- you have to have an SD card practically dedicated to it, and it would take an excruciatingly long amount of time to download.
2. Why wouldn't they release it as a game? I'd buy it, and I think everyone else would too.

So when I opened the booklet, it looks like there's going to be a port- not 3D; not improved graphics and sound- just a port.
And I'm surprisingly okay with that. :)

I'm cool with that, as well. After all, before OoT3D was announced, I was hoping for an OoT port myself. MM wherever you go is also a freaking sweat deal.

I'm more and more impressed with the new OoT the more I play it. I've actually been using the 3D too (I didn't think I would). The only complaint I have about the game so far is a small and solvable one.

When you go play the shooting game in North Castle, you're supposed to shoot the rupees as they appear: However when you use the new aiming system (moving the 3DS) while the 3D is on, it distorts the image when you turn it, making it impossible to aim. All you've got to do is turn the 3D off to solve this, but I feel like it was poor planning on Nintendo's part. :P

Whatever though, I LOVE the new aiming system- MUCH better than the old one, and a lot more fun.

Indeed, it is. It's a crapload faster and less clumsy than using an analog stick. I can't say I understand your stance on Nintendo's "poor planning," though, as that's simply how the glasses-free 3D works--creating two images similar to, but not identical to, each other to simulate an illusion of depth.

I mean it was poor planning that they made an aiming system that revolves around turning the screen when turning the screen distorts the image. :P

Oh, you mean the hardware people, not the Zelda people? Ah, okay, that makes sense.

Of course, if need be, you can use the analog stick...but as you may have noticed, it's actually slower than it was in the original. I wonder why they slowed it down, save for the possibility of their doing it based on the fact that overshooting was so easy in the original.
