Hi no Seijin

Nice pics.

I would have said it sooner, but I didn't feel that it would have really added anything to the discussion.  But now I have some crazy speculation, but it involves spoilers, so read at your own risk.

Okay, so anyone who has read the notes on the Roundtable knows that Link was born in a land above the clouds called Skyloft.  Land above the clouds!  Is anyone else thinking that Skyloft eventually becomes the City in the Sky from Twilight Princess?  Perhaps the Oocca will be in Skyward Sword?

*skipped everything*

I thought the graphics were gonna be srs like Twilight Princess...but that's only what the artwork made me think, so...

I haven't looked at it in a few days, but hopefully it'll kinda be like OoT...
and those pictures up there remind me of MM.

OMG! Nice one, dude! I'd lol if the Oocca were Cuccos in this game.

...Evil cuccos that watched you, and plotted...

Being raised a Kokiri, Link wore the sock cap all his life.
After that, it has been tradition for the chosen hero to be garbed in the hero's clothes. That's where the hat originated. What's this link's excuse for it if he came before the hero of time: Unless he IS the hero of time grown up from Majora's Mask-- in which case this game would not come before Ocarina of Time.

OK how about this:

What if in SS, Link somehow saves Kokiri Forest from some evil? From then on, all the Kokiri  wear the sock cap and tunic in his honor. Flash forward to OoT, Link doesn't even realize.

There. Your mind should now be blown.

Anyways this definitely has the potential to be the official first game in the timeline. After all, Nintendo is more likely to give us a game to add to the front of the timeline than one that somehow connects two games in the middle of the series. The latter would answer too many questions.
The Fourth! A webcomic about the hopeless case of the game villain.

Epic. Simply epic, KP. Never thought of it like that, but my mind is now blown to smithereens. Can't wait to see the Kokiri in advanced graphics :)

Pea-Tear Griffin

I don't care where it takes place in the timeline (okay well maybe I do) but still I just want it to be awesomesauce.

Quote from: WikipediaMiyamoto stated that they are preparing "gorgeous" graphics for the title, which will focus on conveying the atmosphere of a real adventure again,[4] and will try to correct the flaw of too big and vacant areas in Twilight Princess[17] while maintaining and improving on the realism it portrayed.

Now THAT sounds more like it.

Quote from: WikipediaIn concordance with Super Mario Galaxy and its sequel, staff members have expressed their wish to include orchestral music in Skyward Sword, though the matter has not been thoroughly discussed and decided upon yet.[7][1]

I hope they choose not to orchestrate the music.

Wasn't expecting that. Why, out of curiosity?

Advanceshipping and Rion had better be Chuck Norris approved.

Honestly, when it comes to Zelda music, I prefer it to be like it was intended to be. I absolutely love all of the themes in Ocarina of Time- but if they were orchestrated to begin with, I probably wouldn't have been too keen on many of them.

MagmarFire

So....the original Zelda music wasn't originally wanted to be orchestrated? Of course, it was impossible back then due to technical limitations, but if it weren't impossible, I don't really follow that.

Hi no Seijin

I'm rather curious if you have ever listened to some orchestrated Zelda music, ZV.  8-bit music isn't bad, but when the music is played with an orchestra, it sounds so much more epic.  I can't see why you wouldn't want that feeling of epicness in the game.

And you're hoping is in vain.  Mags posted an article a while back that confirmed that Skyward Sword is going to be orchestrated.  If you're hearing something different, please state your source.

About that... I'm not sure if it's really been confirmed or not. Miyamoto said something of the sort, but Aonuma said that he didn't get to talk to him yet about the matter specifically to see if he gave it the green light. I'm expecting it to happen, but you know, anything goes.

Hi no Seijin

Well, that would have been nice to know before I reported it on the front page of TDC!

Good thing I'm not a professional journalist; I so would have been fired.

Sorry, man. I guess source checking exists for a reason. (Not that I'm saying I'm not guilty for not checking them myself.)

EDIT: But then again, it seems to me that's all that people are saying.

Quote from: IGN?“We can’t do what we did in Super Mario Galaxy 2 and not move forward and do the same thing in Zelda,” Miyamoto said.

He also stated that there are people on the development team “looking forward” to orchestrating the score.
