We can all agree- No villain, EVER, in the history of gaming, deserves the title "The King of Evil" more than Ganondorf.  ;)
Sephiroth disagrees with you.  Using his sword.

Anywho, I'm hoping that with Skyward Sword being placed before OoT in the timeline, that'll mean we get to see the Gerudos, Sheikah, and Kokiri again.  Not sure if I already said that here, but Imma going ahead and say it again.

THERE WILL BE ABSOLUTELY NO SEPHIROTH DISCUSSION HERE. GANONDORF IS KING. GANONDORF CAME FIRST. SEPHIROTH IS AN EMO WANNABE.

...Besides, FFVII was waaaay too dramatic.

The Gerudos would be a nice inclusion.

HEY YOU KNOW WHAT I JUST THOUGHT UP

This could take place to the events leading up to or DURING the great war! So you might see a bit of every race from OoT (except for Kokiri), and since the whole thing starts in the sky, we MAY even see the Oocca once again...much to the dismay of several fans. But hey, I liked the Oocca.

It would be really cool to play a part of the Great War. Imagine being able to see all the races preparing for war. It would be awesome!! :D

I don't believe so. In Ocarina of Time, when you fight his humanoid form, he's called "Ganondorf" and the second battle he transforms into a more monstrous form which was then called "Ganon". So, same person, different form.

This I agree with. As far as I know, Aonuma and Miyamoto said nothing about them being separate beings.

QuoteAnywho, I agree that Ganon's the classic Zelda villain, but on the other hand, I always like to see fresh new faces. Maybe they can do what they did in TP, FSA and other Zelda games and make Ganon the main, main villain whilst making a miniature main villain like Zant, Vaati, etc.

Fresh faces, YES. That's what I'm hoping. However, I don't want the plot hijacked by Ganon this time again. It's been done over and over again.

Since we're talking so much about villains, what do you think of the white-haired person in the new SS trailer? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uKUn5ESdK4s (at about 0:51) Do you think that will be the new villain? If you ask me, their transporting ability almost kind of reminds me of Zant's. Except this guy has a bunch of diamonds instead of squares. But overall, the guy...person...reminds me of Vaati.

Pea-Tear Griffin

I have to agree with you there... He looks like Vaati, which would be reasonable for Skyward Sword... You know with Vaati being a Wind Mage and whatnot...

So guys, if this game comes first in the timeline, doesn't it sorta support Minish cap coming next, as there is a city in the clouds that is still, SLIGHTLY functioning, unlike any other time we see a city in the coulds? *coughtwilightprincesscough*

Right. After all, when I heard about how Link will be from a place called Skyloft which is supposed to be up in the sky, I immediately thought of the City in the Sky from TP. So many Ooccoos.

I never really considered the whole wind mage/sky thing. Interesting observation.

EDIT (this comes directly from my DeviantART journal, since I'm too lazy to paraphrase it): Aside from the theory that this guy will be Vaati/a reincarnation of Vaati/etc., I noticed that the thing he's sitting on top if appears to have a lot of similarities to the statues that Link controls with the Dominion Rod the Temple of Time in Twilight Princess (and the statues Link controls with the Command Melody in the Tower of the Gods in Wind Waker). Seeing as how Adelle is the reincarnation of the Master Sword and the white-haired guy (let's just call him "Steve" since we know that's not Adelle's name ;P) appears to be sporting the same type of outfit as her, possibly symoblising that they're of the same race or tribe or whatever. So my theory here is that while Adelle is the reincarnation of the Master Sword, white-haired Steve is the reincarnation of the Dominion Rod. Which ties in with the whole idea that the Dominion Rod was a sacred instrument to the Oocca, the bird-people of the sky now in Skyward Sword. So? What do you think, eh?

I noticed he teleported away at the end of the trailer, kind of like the Twili, mainly Zant. He could be one of those beings that were banished to the world of the twilight.

I just have to say this: I WISH I FOUND OUT ABOUT THIS TRAILER SOONER! D:

I gotta admit the silver-haired dude is a mystery (just the way I like it, too! :D ), but the shield bar at the top left-hand corner of the screen is also a mystery... Shield integrity, perhaps? That would be cool new feature!

I think the shield bar might limit how many times you can block before your guard is broken. It would be a necessary feature if people were able to sword fight online. Also, in case nobody noticed, there's a harp set to use in one of the directions. Hooray for the return of musical instruments! :D

Pale Dim

Wow, it sure looks like they improved since TP...

A Zelda game without instruments is like a puzzle with a missing piece. Anywho, about the whole shield thing. I was never really much of a shield-user but I wonder if the fact that Adelle will be Link's sword will have anything to do with this limited shield power.

MagmarFire

If it's shield integrity, maybe it's Nintendo's way of apologizing for making the shield so OP in Twilight Princess. Actually, it's kind of OP when in the 3D games anyway, now that I think about it.

I'm hoping for it to be something like Dark Cloud where it has a limited amount of uses before it breaks and becomes unusable. Think of the challenge that could add! I can imagine myself panicking behind my shield, wondering how long it's going to hold up, and building up the courage to charge and attack before it breaks.

Not to mention that I'm sure that it would help the shield stock market as well, haha.

I'd be fine with a limit on how long you can use one item until it's unusable, as long as it's not extremely short-lived like the Giant's Knife in OoT.  :P
