I'd be fine with a limit on how long you can use one item until it's unusable, as long as it's not extremely short-lived like the Giant's Knife in OoT.  :P

I would be okay with that for:

Shield
Armor
Bow Strings

Anything else would either be annoying, or cause you to get permanently stuck somewhere if you saved in the wrong spot  :P

I'd also like them to provide a bomb bag in the dungeon when necessary. Too many times I've gotten into dungeons, then realised I needed to buy bombs to get past a certain part and have to go out and find a shop that sells bombs.

Like in the handheld games? Yeah, I miss that.

Vaati

I think they also provided you with a bomb bag in OoT, but I forget.
Anyway, back on topic. ^^;

MagmarFire

^ That would just be cruel. I doubt they'd go that far, except maybe for the strongest of enemies.

Advanceshipping and Rion had better be Chuck Norris approved.

I just realized that Skyward Sword is going to be the first three dimensional Zelda title to feature the Zol.

MagmarFire

Unless that's just a Red ChuChu. On the other hand, if it splits into three when struck, then yeah, instant awesomesauce.

Zelda Wiki said it was a Zol, but I guess it's up for discussion. I'm not sure where they got the picture either.

Vaati

...Wait....what's a Zol? I thought they were called Chu-chus.

Chu-chu's were first introduced in Majora's Mask. They're blob like creatures that hop to move around, and in the Wind Waker, they produced Chu-Jelly for potions.

Zol's were introduced in The Legend of Zelda, and they slide across the ground to move. Upon being struck, they divide into smaller versions of the original.

While very similar in appearance, they're quite different mechanically. ;)

Ah, so they're those things that would always ambush me in the fields in AoL.

Anyway, back on topic. My friend showed me this today. Just some food for thought. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rZwbchA4Hw4 It's kind of cool. I bet Nintendo intended for that to happen. Kind of like how Midna's Theme is just Zelda's Theme with the notes in reverse order. I don't think they're going to recycle Midna but I just wonder what the significance between them playing the song backwards in the trailer will have in the game.

One of my other friends said on the bus that she thinks that Link will have wings of some sort. Almost like the Roc's Cape in Minish Cape except instead of gliding for a brief period of time, he can actually fly long distance. This coming from the first Skyward Sword trailer at the very end before it cuts to the title logo, it shows Link leaping from the sky without any fear. But I'm not sure if that was because he'll be able to sprout wings or if it was just a mere dramatic effect.

MagmarFire

My mind was blown when my friend Matt let me know about the hidden tune in the trailer. My mind was friggin' BLOWN. Nintendo, I love you. <3

I know right?! I love these little Easter eggs they add in.

Speaking of which, does anyone here know the official release date of Skyward Sword in North America? All the websites I go to say it's to be announced but sometime this year, but when I went to reserve my copy at GameStop, the worker there said that it was coming out in November and she said it like she was absolutely sure. Is this true?

MagmarFire

I'm pretty sure it hasn't been announced yet, so I'm calling BS on GameSpot's release date. I actually never listen to their projected dates, as they always seem to come out with one as a mere prediction of what the developer says it's going to be released, and these predictions are...well, I guess I can't say they're inaccurate, as I don't really pay attention to them, but I can't say they're accurate, either.

The guys at Gamstop say November, but since it's nintendo I'm saying it'll get pushed back to december for marketing reasons.

Nintendo LOVES delaying Zelda Games.
