Yeah, they would do something like that. They did it with Twilight Princess, after all. The GC version was supposed to come out earlier, but then they decided to keep us GC users waiting for them to make a Wii version to release it around Christmas.  ::)

^ Which ticked off a good number of us, surely. XD

Advanceshipping and Rion had better be Chuck Norris approved.

I know, right? So, what else to say about this game? What do you guys think of that Stalfo thing that Link's fighting in the 2nd trailer that grows multiple arms to guard its back?

MasterKeyX

Sounds a lot like a mini boss to me, most Stalfos don't have such an ability.

Nonetheless, if the enemies are different and more interactive, I can only imagine Skyward Sword will be even better than I can imagine.

And on a random side note, I love the new art style. Impressionism ftw <3

Truth be told, I was a little disappointed when I saw it wasn't going to be as realistic as TP, but then I learned to like the style because it reminded me so much of Radiata Stories.

When I was young, I walked into an "Electronics Etc" and picked up a gaming magazine. I saw the Wind Waker wasn't going to be realistic like OoT or MM, and I asked the employee, "Is this really the next Zelda?" He solemnly nodded. I was heart broken and outraged.

Many years later, I'll never again judge a game by its graphic or art style. Trust me, I think in the end here we'll all be really happy with it. ;)

Indeed. After all, if you think about it (and I vaguely remember saying this before...), one of the advantages of having a bright art style is to try to sugarcoat all the genuinely dark stuff that goes on in the series. Tales of Symphonia's done the same thing, after all.

And of course, in The Wind Waker, we see Link stabbing someone in the forehead.

This. So many people I know irls doubted WindWaker and said it would be the end of the series, a total disaster.

But Nintendo shut them up. They know what they're doing, and despite the utter destruction I've seen on the Wii (seriously, the console is a disaster in my opinion) I have faith they won't /let/ Zelda fall to pieces.  have the utmost faith.

I agree completely. The Wii is the biggest waste of money I've ever spent- a 300 dollar paper-weight. But the Zelda series will never die. I can say that with confidence because if it ever does, I'll take it upon myself to revive it.

I still prefer the GameCube over the Wii as far as controls but I can't complain too much about the Wii, personally. I agree with you guys about Zelda not failing. And even if we don't like it at first, I'm sure it'll be one of those games we'll learn to love in time because I believe the experience of playing it is a big part in how a people likes a game. If you don't have any fond memories of a game, then you won't like it as much. But if you do have memories of it, then it'll bring nostalgia. I remember playing OoT at my cousin's house, it was a hot summer day and I couldn't leave his room because their vicious dog was on the other side of the door, ready to attack. XD

I'm sure you all know of this by now, but trailer time! WATCHY, WATCHY!

I'm also loving that new serif font change they're making with the text and stuff. I found the previous, sans-serif font to be a little...I dunno. I didn't like it as much as the other fonts that the series has used, but now...yep, I'm happy!

Nintendo, I think I speak for (almost) everyone when I say, "SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!"

Well, I was coming to terms with the fact that I wasn't going to be able to play this game. Then, the same friend who's giving me a free 3DS also said that he'd let me borrow his wii for playing the game. So now I'm excited again. The game looks amazing- like something that should have been done a very very long time ago (maybe in place of TP). Much like the "Red Bird" on the Hylian shield finally meaning something, but I think a lot of things are going to start clicking. I think this is like the piece of a puzzle that once it fits in, everything around it will start to make sense. I don't like the way the villain looks, but I didn't like Skullkid at first either.

So with all these awesome games coming out, I once again, find myself throwing my wallet at Nintendo.

Ohhh, how I hate you so...

I assume you guys have also seen the demo battle with Ghirahim (the name of the white-haired villain) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UVzPKzgqgwA I gotta say, he's one creepy bloke when he does that KISS tongue thing.

I actually hadn't seen that, thanks! :D
But yeah, the tongue thing... What the hell? XD

Someone on DeviantART made a pretty interesting point. She said that she thinks Ghirahim won't be the main villain because even though the fact that Ghirahim doesn't die during the fight, means you're going to cross him again, it doesn't seem like Nintendo to put such a big spoiler as telling who the main villain will be and let you fight him before the game is even released. So I think that there might be a more main villain and that Ghirahim is the "appetiser villain". It's sort of like before Spirit Tracks came out, all the commercials and trailers made it seem like Cole and Byrne were going to be the main antagonists, but when you play the game, you later find out that Malladus is the bigger baddie and that Cole and Byrne are just his servants.
