But I don't know if it would be better to use an existing game's storyline or if they should create a new one if they ever were to make a movie.Hmmmm...

Yes, but that's because DiC can't make good cartoons. From now on Nintendo will make their own movies (there's already a Metroid movie under production).

That Mario movie was made by Hollywood, and in the 80's. Besides, you can't make a good Mario movie with real-life actors.
