In case nobody has noticed why Ezlo looks like a bird hat thing, have you ever looked at the head of Ezlo's staff while he is Minish?  It's a bird.

Vaati didn't have a bird. If you watch Ezlo transform into at hat, you can see him and his staff form together. (MUTATED!!!)

lol! I read in something funny (it wasnt official but it was still funny) Ezlo was all mad. He was like, "And why did he change me into THIS this thing? Did he change his mind in the middle of the chant?" ::)

If I were Vaati, I would have just turned Ezlo to stone so he couldn't help Link along the way. Then all my schemes would go as planned.

thats cool about the saff, but I think it was cuz Vaati had a bird thing... else why would he be a wind sorcerer?

That's possible, but it could be something else too. Like he thought the Wind Tribe had the most power or what not.
