After all, it could fit in with the story of the jack-rabbit and the turtle. (The jack-rabbit was doing fine, and decided to take a nap under the tree because he thought "That turtle won't even be close to the finish line by the time I wake up." But when he woke up, the turtle had won the race.

If that were to happen, it would be quite a dark path for the Zelda series to take. Not that that's a particularly bad thing, really... It could be possible why they didn't do it that way.

Yeah. Zelda's a kid's game! It's rated E(TP is rated T...cool!), anyway. It might not been good for some kids because of the violence...But I'd say it's for ages 7 and up. And if it were to end with Vaati winning...well, I'd be happy, but the little seven-year olds would get all depressed.

That Ezlo merged with the staff, that's why he turned into a bird hat.

Oh yeah.
Not only does Ezlo look alot like his staff (with the beak and the curly...ponytail thing) but also when you see his transforming into a hat, him and his staff morf together.
