He's the composer for Square Enix.  He wrote and composed ALL of Square Soft/Enix's music.  *One Winged Angel* cough.

That's okay.  I recently learned that Koji Kondo is the man behind the Mario and Zelda music.  ANd thanks to Gamefreak for telling me who Uematsu is, even though I already found out who he is.  (One Winged Angel is awesome. )
