Why is Link a bunny when you first go to the dark world?

Not really.  The bunny ear's helped keep him cool.

Nothing wrong with a bunny saving Hyrule.  Unless it was Little Bunny Foo-Foo.

Also, it's not like he's a bunny forever.  He does get the Moon Pearl and is able to be in his Hylian form.

At least getting the Moon Pearl was easy

Bunny Link can't die.  You can't visit all of Death Mountain in the Dark World as a bunny, and the half you can explore lacks enemies.

Ohh true that...i forgot! But the whole bunny thingwas a little weird, personally i would have made Link a wolf or a dog or something,not a bunny

I think Link may have had a timid nature in LttP.  So that may have some affect.

Are you sure about that? In certain places, there are magic auras that follow Link around, and when he touches them, the Moon Pearl looses its effect, so I believe Link can be harmed by enemies in this state. Therefore, I think that would be a counterexample to your statement.

the magic auras dont harm you, they just (in a way) stun you. THEN you can be hurt by others.

I was talking about when you first came to the Dark World.  And I never died as Bunny Link.  If you dodge the monsters in the Bunny Link state, you should be okay.

Sprinkle magic powder on the auras before they touch you.  You get a faerie.
