Do you khow how to got the fishing rod ? I just see the screenshot and I see Link B button have the fishing rod in lake Hylia ???

Master Goron

You don't get a fishing rod. There is a fishing center(on the left side of Lake Hylia). When to go there, you can use the fishing rod in there, but you can't leave with it.

"The legendary Hylian Loach is a long fish you can find in the fishing pond.  It usually hangs out near the lily pads or the center of the pool, and likes to lay low.  It's extremely difficult to catch, but if you can get it with the regular lure near the pads, consider yourself extremely lucky.  You can also try catching it with the sinking lure, but if you do the fisherman won't give any award since you cheated."

Basically, people usually describe it as an eel-like thing that only comes out at certain times (I've heard that you have to go into the pond RIGHT at dawn or dusk, I forget which).

I don't remember where to get the sinking lure, where do you acquire it?

Teehee! But I have found it to be in other places as well, such as the perimeter of the pond, etc.

Master Goron

Best advice is to equip a Blue Tunic, Iron Boots, and run around aimlessly for a while in the middle. That's where I usually find it, then search toward the outside.

bgrugby

If I remember it was near those logs. But its been a long time since I played.

Rievault

I think I caught the loach once; it was too long ago for me to remember. What I do know is that I absolutely used the sinking lure.  ;D

Jack

I was always terrible at the fishing game. I got the sinking lure twice, adn squandered it both times of fish that weren't the Loach.

Pickles

I used the singing lure once. The guy yelled at me about how it's "against the rules" to use sinking lures, but I didn't care. Also, once I casted at the guy (as an adult) and stole his hat. The fishies really enjoyed it!!!  ;D  ;D

By the way, what's a loach?

weienw

For the sinking lure, my friends and I always just ran around the perimeter (the grassy edge) of the fishing grounds, and usually found it.

We would fish all the time... probably one of our favorite mini-games. I also remember fondly our entertaining (as in the verb) different fish rumors like the Eyeball fish (keep fishing until you catch the Eyeball Fish, then when you turn it in, the man says "wow this is amazing, let me take it to town and I'll bring you something special in return." While he's gone, your weapons would be allowed, so you can bomb the crack where the water enters the pond, allowing access to a HUGE pond with equally large fish [you can see this pond using a glitch where you look around the edge of Hyrule field, like behind the "walls"]. Eventually, the guy comes back with... *fanfare* the Golden Saddle!).

Good old days.

What's a loach, you ask?

Wow, that's awesome!  I'm going to try that... Umm... I'd asume that the eyeball fish has big eyeballs, right?  :D

weienw

We could never figure out what the eyeball fish should look like either. Either it'd have huge eyes, or it'd just be like every other fish and you had to fish the whole pond dry to get it.

As you can guess... we were unsuccessful ^_^.
