It was a breezy day, which surely meant an untimely fate for those who were wandering along Winged Path for the first time. A lone figure made its way up the path, holding one arm up to shield his eyes from the winds. "Farore... Damnit. Why today, of all days?" He muttered, nearly tripping over an abnormally strong, yet surprisingly quick gale. Dogura was never known to use a Goddess's name in vain, but more recently, he hasn't cared. He began to ponder if it was to blame for his bad luck streak climbing up the mountain. He rubbed his head, where a small boulder had smashed into his head earlier. As if jealous, his left knee began to ache, from the Goron that had rolled over him, just after he had been struck by the crumbling cliff. The vagabond gritted his teeth, and leaned against the cliff, removing a tattered map from his pack. It should be on Winged Path... If the stalchild had pointed him in the wrong direction, the samurai was completely prepared tol trek all the way back just to remove the little beast from existance.
Suddenly, a small voice whispered in his conscience. Dogura closed his eyes, and stood up, looking up at the sky, and then down at the vast desert beneath him. "I know Father... I know. So they don't know everything about why we're gathering these stones... What they don't know won't hurt them right?" Staring down at the blistering sands, Dogura began to worry about Pyralin in such a storm. Turning around, he noticed three rito children looking at something on the cliff face. "Hey! You children, go home! These winds are dangerous, how did you get down here?!" The children payed no mind to Dogura, and instead, they began poking their tiny fingers into the mountain. Naturally, interested he headed over to the children, and inspected the wall they were crowding around. "Go away mister! This is
my adventure! You can't have it!" The smallest of them back against the wall, wings outspread as if to defend the wall.
Ah! There's the reason they're so preocupied with the wall. It had a large boulder packed into it! taking a closer look, the boulder looked almost as if it would crumble upon impact! Knowing immediately that it was sure to be the location of the next Magic stone, Dogura knelt down to the childen's level, and smiled. "How about we play a game for it?" The Rito's eyes widened. Children loved games, and Dogura knew it. "We're going to play a game called Rock, paper, scissors." The Rito that stood in the middle walked right up to the samurai. "I never lose a game of Rock Paper Scissors!" Suddenly, another violent wind blew, and knocked the Rito flat on his face. "Owowowowowow!" It cried bouncing up and down, holding its beak. The other rito stepped up, and sat down, crossing her legs. "Alright then. I never lose either. Watch and learn!" She held out his hand, and smiled confidently.
"Alright then, lets play! If you win, you take this adventure, and I go home." The rito nodded, and shook her fist in a 'hurry lets play' kind of way. "However... If I win, I take the advenutre, you go home, and tell your parents that you've been playing on Winged Path." A bead of sweat rolled down her feathered head, and she swallowed. She looked into the vagabond's eyes, possibly looking for any trace of trickery. What she didn't know, is that Dogura was a pro at masking his emotions, even if he had to fake a different emotion. "Alright, lets go!" she finally spoke up, preparing her tiny fist. In unison, they both called out, "Rock... Paper... Scissors!" She threw out her hand, opening her hand into a paper motion, which was countered with Dogura's scissors. She snarled, and held her fist out again. Reading her mind ahead of time, the samurai held his large fist out to hers. "Rock... Paper... Scissors!" The vagabond's rock smashed her scissors. The children gasped, the tall one still holding his beak, yet watching intently.
"Last one!" Dogura said in a teasing voice. "I'm not going to lose this adventure!" She cried out, already pumping her fist in the air. "Rock, Paper, Scissors!" The match ended, with a pair of scissors cutting swiftly through the child's paper. "Awwww no!!" She screamed, stomping about. "Do-over!" one of them shouted, as she retreated back into her group. Dogura chuckled at his own cleverness, and pointed to New Peaktop. "Now, you remember our deal." They hung their heads, and continued back home, miraculously avoiding any winds that had blown over the mountain. Staring back at the boulder, Dogura opened his bomb bag, and removed a shiny blue bomb.
These things cost a fourtune... They had better be worth it.
The samurai thought spitefully. Removing a bit of flamable powder, he snapped it between his middle finger, and his thumb, the friction creating enough heat to combust the powder, and light fuse. Carefully placing the bomb in front of the suspicious wall, Dogura backed a safe distance away from the bomb. In a stunning display of fire and debris, the bomb exploded, blowing the boulder to smitherenes. After the smoke cleared, a small cave in the wall was visible, torches lining the wall, deeper into the undiscovered cavern. Taking a step inside, it was much colder than it was outside. Thankful for shelter against the savage winds, the vagabond wandered deeper into the tunnle...
