Sovelis sighed deeply. Arrika's thoughts echoed in his own mind. If he was a demon, then so be it. "I want you to go back to the house. Go there and leave me for now, as I need some time to think." he told Arrika, not even making any effort to get her off of him. I don't want her to go yet though...I don't want to be alone.

He sighed again and forced a smile on his face. "I do not have an eternity. I am Immortal in a sense, but I will no longer belong in any world eventually. I'll fade into the Void, just as the other Shanra'Kahal before me have done...And maybe I will find peace among the legends of yore...Among the pantheon of days long forgotten..."

Arrika slipped silently off his lap and onto the soft sand, averting his eyes. "By then it will have seemed like an eternity," she said softly, then turned to leave anyway. "I'm sorry," she whispered. "I'm a cruel person, aren't I?" The Sheikah hugged herself against the winds, then took off in the direction Seth had gone. She didn't plan on going home yet, but decided to look for Sakiko instead, hoping the mage could lighten her mood.

Sovelis stood up, watching as his student walked off. "No...your not cruel...Its is me that is the cruel one, Arrika..." he said, not knowing if she had heard him over the wind as she left. I am not as warm-hearted as I seem. It is the kindness of others that keeps me from casting aside my sworn duty and embracing the darkness...You and those like you are all that stand between me, and the end of your world... The words seemed to echo along the beach, even though Sovelis hadn't spoken them.

He sighed and pulled his hood back over his blond hair. The wind was growing fierce, and the sky started to grow cloudy. The sea was an unforgiving lady, and she was throwing a storm at the beaches of Tantari again...

Seth closed his eyes, a look of grim satisfaction on his face. The anger and jealousy he'd felt had subsided rather quickly, and looked for something around him to keep his mind occupied. He heard something running towards him, and quickly darted behind the trunk of the palm tree he'd been leaning against. Further inspection revealed it to be Arrika, her eyes shut as she ran blindly through the sand. She stopped, backtracking to his hiding spot. "You don't have to hide. I know you were watching the whole time, you little rat. Happy now?"

"Maybe," he replied tonelessly.

"Why do you hate me so much?" Arrika asked him honestly. "What did I do?"

"I- Never mind. Forget it. I'm not mad anymore, okay? Let's just forget about it," Seth said, which surprised her.

Arrika snorted with amusement. "If you wanted to sit on him too you could have just asked," she teased, then ducked as a rock came flying her way, narrowly missing her face.

"Dammit, you know what I meant!" Seth said angrily, crossing his arms and sitting on the sand stubbornly. Arrika almost sighed with relief; she gotten Seth into a lighter mood, and by night he'd have calmed down all the way.

Sovelis turned around and walked the opposite direction of his students. His mood had grown as foul as the weather. Even she knows the truth, and we have known one another for less than a month. Am I so cursed that I will never be happy anywhere? he asked himself as he strode along the shoreline. Arrika was so young. He had no reason to have her around, except that she was his student. She's so beautiful...but I'm old enough to be her great-grandfather... Sovelis told himself. Even if she could see me that way, could we ever be happy together?

He turned around and could see her standing, talking to someone behind a rock. Probably Seth...he's going to be stubborn and spiteful about Arrika and I. Perhaps I should help him fix his family problem? If I can, he'd have somewhere to go to...a true home...so unlike me...

"Well, since you're obviously feeling better, Mr. Psychic, mind telling me where Sakiko is?" Arrika asked.

"Who said I was feeling better? Shows what you know," Seth mumbled under his breath. "He's watching us," he added a moment later, inclining his head towards Sovelis's direction. "And no, that wasn't Seeing, it was because he was really noisy. And he's got this cloud of emotion following him."

"Can't you just read his mind? Wouldn't that be easier?"

Seth made a face. "Yeah," he said uncertainly.

"Then why don't you?"

Silence.

"Hah, you're still scared, aren't you?" Arrika laughed, dodging again as an even bigger rock came her way.

Sovelis hung his head low and sighed. Nevermind... I'll just see them when they get home tonight. he thought as he turned around and started walking back the way he had come from. Seth, I know you can hear me. Tell Arrika that I'll be home, and that you two need to be home before dinner if you want me to cook. Sovelis sent to Seth as he vanished into thin air, presumably back to the house...

"Come on!" Seth said, jumping up with newfound energy and pulling on Arrika's arm to follow him. "Race you back home! If we hurry we can get Sovelis to fry fish!" He ran off enthusiastically with Arrika not far behind, the two of them joking around as they sprinted back.

"I can't believe you're actually agreeing with what Sovelis says," Arrika shouted as Seth got ahead for a few seconds.

"Food is one thing. Everything else is another-," he choked as Arrika dragged him back by his scarf.
