To most people, they would merely wonder why a young, Sheikah boy would be sniffing around this part of the field, at this hour of the night, and most importantly, not wearing shoes. Honestly, he might track mud into his home, and then his mother would make him wash up, and then wash the floor he had messed up.

But all of this was irrelevant to his current purpose, which was to find whatever it was that smelled like Ryokiden, his Guardian Daemon, but yet wasn't the English Daemon. The boy knew the Daemon was currently very far away, and so his smell, no matter how strong it was from years of not bathing. The ground didn't look like he had been around, and if he was, he must've been heavily sedated.

And so, he continued to look around, even if he had no idea what he was looking for.

Currently traveling across the southern area of Hyrule Field at this late hour was an inu youkai named Touken, seemingly looking for an area to rest. His dog-like ears folded back calmly as he let out a small yawn, pressing forward through the vast expanse of grassy plain. The moonlight illuminated the dirt path as he sought out a suitable place to take shelter for the night, his bare feet leaving prints behind him. He didn't like wearing shoes, finding them to be more a hindrance than a help.

His tail twitched with excitement as he spotted a tall tree not too far away, deciding that this would be a great place to rest. He always enjoyed sleeping underneath trees, finding their shade to be comforting in a strange sort of way. As Touken made his way to the tree, his nose twitched a bit, picking up the scent of another person in the area, though still a bit far away. Not recognizing it, the youkai simply shrugged, continuing on his way. He wouldn't bother it as long as it didn't bother him.

Worru jumped up, and sniffed wildly, realizing this smell that smelled kind of like Ryk, was nearby, and he wanted, no, needed to find this smell-making smeller who was, obviously from the earlier terms used to describe this currently nameless thing, making a smell. With a turn, he ran towards whatever it was that he was looking for.

Once he had come up to a tree, he found someone, who had dog ears, laying under a tree, who, from the many-times mentioned smell, was this person who had a scent much like the Daemon, and so, he ran over even closer.

The resting inu youkai's furry ears twitched a bit to alert him to the unknown being, who was evidently now approaching him. His eyes opened to see the stranger come at him, the fur on his tail standing a bit on end before he quickly circled around the trunk of the tree, hiding behind it. He wasn't sure who this new person was, but he definitely hoped that he wouldn't have to fight, as that would probably ruin his peaceful mood.

Touken timidly poked his head out from behind the tree, noting that the stranger was apparently after him for some reason. He tried to think of anything that he could have done that would cause someone to seek him out, not recalling anything of the sort. He decided to just wait until he was approached since the unknown person didn't seem violent, though he was still rather shy around new people. Odds are that there was nothing to worry about, and that he had just overworked himself with stress once again.

Worru went around the strange dog-man-guy-thing, sniffing curiously, as, can be seen in the earlier term used to describe the person he had found there. "You smell just like him." he said, before coming closer and grabbing the guy's ears. "But he doesn't have these. Or wear this kind of clothes.", he added the last sentence as this young boy picked the rather strange clothes this man was wearing. "Say...who are you?"

Touken blinked, blushing faintly in embarrassment as the kid sniffed at him, commenting on how he smelled just like someone else. He wasn't sure if that was a compliment or not, getting ready to reply before Worru grabbed his ears, inspecting them along with his clothes.

Rather confused and a bit annoyed by all of this, the inu youkai still replied to the question in his usual calm voice. "I'm Touken," he said, not finding it necessary to release any other information about himself to this stranger.

He looked at the younger male, backing away a couple of feet timidly. "Who are you, though, and what do you want from me?" Touken asked, absolutely baffled as to what the kid wanted. Of all the things for someone to approach him about, he never would have expected it to be his scent. Maybe he needed to start bathing more often...

Worru raised an eyebrow. "Name's Worru. I thought you smelled like a friend of mine. He's kinda like a dog, and you look like a dog." he explained, as if such a thing was acceptable socially, which to his understanding, it was. "He smells very much like you do, just that you smell more like hair than he does."

"Ah... I see. Well... I am a dog demon," Touken replied, smiling a bit, "though I'm sorry that I'm not the person you're looking for," he continued, his ears lowering as a sign of sympathy. Much more comfortable with the stranger now, the inu youkai seated himself on the ground in a more relaxed position, continuing to look at Worru.

"I suppose it's nice to meet you anyway, Worru, though it was rather surprising," he said, his tail twitching a little as he regained his good mood. He wondered if this new person was going to stay for a bit, since he was rather lonely at the moment. Since he had entered this world, he had mostly gone about his own business, too shy to really talk to anyone else. It was a lot easier to wait for someone else to talk to him.

"Y'know, I've got-" the young boy was cut off, as he began to sniff the air once more. He thought over what he had smelled, and ran over to Touken. "You smell like Kasei, too!" the young boy exclaimed, quite surprised that anyone at all would smell like the giant, Sheikah man.

"Eh? You know Kasei, too?" Touken asked, a bit surprised, "He's been a good friend of mine for a while now," the inu youkai said with a smile. Now that he had found out that Worru knew Kasei as well, he was quite curious about the younger boy. It seemed that Kasei generally made more enemies than friends, so he had to wonder what the story was behind this kid. He was definitely rather interested in this new acquaintance now.

"Same here!", exclaimed the boy, smiling brightly, "He's the grandfather of Aria who...uhm...I kinda have a crush on...", he added, mumbling and last few parts, seeing as he knew full well that he had no chance of ever getting one dream of his realized. "I've been at his house a couple times, and he knows my mom, and my dad, too."

Touken chuckled to himself a bit, looking up toward the starry night sky. "Love... such a strange feeling. It always seems to just end in pain, as well. But, then again, my non-human appearance doesn't exactly help."

Realizing that he was starting to ramble on like an old man, which by human standards he actually was, the inu youkai looked back at Worru with a smile. "It appears that we at least have a common friend between the two of us, though. But I can't say I ever really pictured Kasei as the friendly type," he said. Touken thought for a bit then, wondering if he really knew anyone as well as he thought he did. He could be rather naive at times, which was never really a good thing.

"Well, so far, Kasei doesn't want to kill me, but he wants me to kill him.", the young boy explained, looking away as he, himself, tried to think of why the older man wanted him to do such a thing, that which required him to do something he shouldn't ever.

Hearing the statement about Kasei wanting Worru to kill him, something clicked inside the inu youkai's head, and he smiled a little in understanding. So that's his intention... Touken thought to himself before turning to look at the boy. "You must be really special if he wants you to do that, kid," he said before leaning back against the tree comfortably, his tail swishing back and forth a little. Kasei really was mysterious at times.
