==In Rauru Town==

It was a sunny day with a perfect temperature and virtually no humidity. The breeze was relaxing, but not too strong. Sounds seemed endless, with people bustling about buying things in the shopping district, and children playing in the street.

There was a small crowd gathered in the square. A long time ago, there was a business that made it's living by teleporting people from place to place. The point in this business was so that people who didn't know how to teleport could have a quicker type of transportation, and people who did know how to teleport themselves could sit back an enjoy the ride.

However, this company had shut down for several years. Now, they were reopening. Since they owned a facility in every major town, they decided to have the first "flight"(the term they used for this service) since they reopened be from Rauru Town to Castle Town.

There was a total of roughly one hundred seventy-two people who were tagging along for this ride. The pilot who was supposed be taking care of the mass teleportation was Brian Engle. However, not over an hour before the flight was launched, he was told that his wife had past away. He needed to get to Castle Town to deal with the situation as to her will and burial. The company found him unfit to be piloting the warp, but they gave him a free ticket as a passenger.

Meanwhile, a little blind girl, no older than ten, was also bordering the warp point with her aunt. She has "feelings" that allow her to see things that others can't, including occasionally into the future. However, nobody realizes she may have psionic abilities. It's usually always the blind that are the seers. Her aunt was going to Castle Town to bring the girl, Dinah Bellman, back to her parents, as Dinah had been visiting with her.

While she was bordering, Dinah ran into a business man by the name of Craig Toomey. He yelled at her to watch where she was going, as he failed to notice her blindness because of her glasses, which he didn't know blind people tended to where. He was heading to Ruto Town because he was an investor who was about to make a deal worth tens-of-thousands of rupees. The craft they were traveling on was supposed to make a full stop at all the Northern towns before returning to Rauru Town.

As these people, as well as the others got seated. They had no clue what kind of experience they were about to endure.

Through a PA like system that worked by means of magic, they pilot told them that the flight would be warping soon. Then a few minutes later, he began the count down. At first, he stated they had five minutes. Then, four minutes later, that they had one minute. The next amount of time he stated was thirty seconds. Before they knew it, the actual countdown had begun. "Ten...nine...eight...seven...six...five... four...three...two...one...warp." As he stated warp, the pilot tapped his own magical ability to the magic well that was built into these transportation crafts. During the short-trip a few of the passengers dozed off.

==In North Castle Town==

The craft arrived on schedule. When it made contact, it awoke the eleven passengers who had fallen asleep, among them, Craig, Dinah, and Brian. As they opened their eyes, save for Dinah, they realized that the majority of the people on the flight were gone. To be more precise, even though they didn't realize it yet, these eleven people were the only people on the craft, and the doors hadn't been opened yet. Nobody had exited the craft.

They all searched around the craft, finding each other. In too much bafflement about their situation, they never introduced themselves to each other. Thus, Dinah was left with nobody to tell her what was going on. She only realized that her aunt was missing. She followed the sounds of their voices, and listened to what they were saying. However, she didn't interupt, just patiently waited until somebody informed her as to the situation and why her aunt was gone.

After realizing that they were the only people on the craft. They opened the doors and stepped outside. Immediately, things weren't right. The air, which usually carries some smell on it, was bland, devoid of smell. There was still a slight breeze, but there was no cloud movement, which there should have been. The sound of the doors being opened occurred, but the sound waves didn't travel the right distance. Above all else, Castle Town, a location that would be full this time of day, was empty.

As they stepped outside the craft, their shoes against the stone paved streets had the same affect as the doors. They wondered around a bit, checking some nearby major indoor public places. Nobody. Not a single trace.

OOC: First off, anybody can join this topic. Second off, if you know any spoilers about this topic, or happen to know anything about its origin, don't post that information in this topic. PM me if you feel you must tell me. Thirdly, to those of you who do join, try to put some work into your post. Also, I highly suggest that for the fun of the topic, you bring along a character that we can get attached too, but you aren't afraid to kill them off. On that note, feel free to bring along as many NPC's as you want. And lastly, any character who is participating in this topic HAS to arrive in Castle Town via warping, and they can't be a passenger of the craft. Once you character(s) is in Castle Town, feel free to have them make any observances about the odd conditions that the eleven passengers noticed. Also, you might want your characters to notice the passengers, as so interaction can be made between the passengers and your characters within the next few posts. I won't post here again until a set amount of time, probably at least three days, have passed, as to allow the maximum amount of you HA2 members to join as possible. Sorry about the long OOC post, but I wanted you all to be informed. Also, if you DIDN'T READ this OOC post, or if you didn't read all of the IC post, I suggest you do to be completely informed.

OOC: SO, I take it that North Castle is abandoned? Kinda reminds me of Left Behind.

IC: Kasei opened his eyes as he left the rift and stepped his foot down on the main street of Hyrule Castle town. Behind him, Alfiey, the Undying Wind, stepped out of the rift as well. Today was an important day; the two of them were going to attempt an audience with the king, to bring up slightly urgent issues. Both of them now stood on the usually-crowded main street of the town, expecting to be mobbed by a huge ammount of people.

There was just one problem; Noone was here. In fact, nothing was here, at all. Kasei sniffed the air, to find no scent but his own. “What the hell?” Kasei demanded, jumping onto a nearby rooftop. He scanned the area for any signs of life. He didn’t see anything emiediately. “GARO!” He yelled, as he snapped his fingers.

The Garo Ninja didn’t arrive.

“What is this?” Alfiey questioned. “I don’t know, but something isn’t good here.” The Rebel Flame replied. “Can you contact the other stars?” He asked.

Alfiey closed his eyes and let his senses flow. After a while, he was attentive. “No. Noone.” He wispered.

“C’mon, let’s see if anyone is here in the town.” Kasei said, speeding off faster than normal while his Rito companion took to the skies. Both were able to move faster due to lack of traffic. After a while, a scent caught Kasei’s nose. He smiled grimly, and moved in towards the source. “Alfiey! I found someone!” He called as he rounded the corner, to find a group of eleven people Looking around. He was about to call out to them, when Alfiey silently landed in front of him, drawing his sword. “It could be a trap.” He wispered, and Kasei nodded, drawing his own weapon. “Who are you?” He called out.

OOC: I'm SO into this kinda thing!

Deadly silent.
Much like his dreams if he ever had them.
The world was still, much like his emotions.
He gazed out over North Castle, and moved not an inch.
Nothing.
Everyone had disappeared.
"Opica..."
His deeply toned voice echoed a bit over the frozen picture frame before him.
"Per'b hi'boe zhay..."
He paused, and took a breath, exhaling softly.
"Neww-sen-sehs"
He said in common speech, trying to pronounce the word right.

He was garbed in black. He wore a black overcoat that ran down to his knees, and opened a bit in the front. It ran up to his shining belt buckle, and closed from there on up. His face was indescribable. Not his face structure, per say, but rather the mask of a face. His expression didn't change, and his blank Gray eyes were that of stone- cold and unchanging. Looking over the landscape, he placed a boot up on the ledge of the tall clock tower he was standing on. His boot was black like the rest of his clothing, and had a few buckles running up the side of it. He seemed to be wearing black pants of a material that couldn't be placed by just looking at them. His mouth was hidden by the cloth that he had wrapped around his head. It came across the top of his nose, and tied up in the back. It wasn't black, but a really dark blue if you could catch it in the right lighting.

His hair was black, short, and it was somewhat spiked all over the place, as if a bomb of gel had exploded in his brain. The sides, however, we slicked down, and his ears were sensitive as an owl's. He turned, and closed his eyes, saying a prayer for the departed.

"Por per vo aqak dar va liclo'..."

He then stared at the Gray sky, and began to think. Before his thinking could go any further however, a noise made it's way to his ears. A crumbling- no. Footsteps. Then, common speak- "What the hell?" The sheikah's head snapped in the direction of the noise, and he stared off into the distance. Ahio aethir... He thought, as he leaped across rooftops, seeking out the noise.

"GARO!"

More common talk. The man heard it loud and clear, and could almost pinpoint where the noise was coming from now. The man shot down from the sky like a meteor, and landed a few yards from Kasei. A could of dust gathered around the man, as he stepped out of the dust. He stared long and hard at Kasei, before clearing his throat, and attempting more common speak- "Helloh. Mai naem... Rasul." He ended the sentence, not finding the common speak word for "bea".

He needed to stick around wherever there was life, and he knew it. Should he not find any food, he needed to know there would be something full of nutrition nearby. If worse came to worse, he could feed on the corpses of those he kills. It wouldn't be the first time he'd have to eat something he'd rather not. However, he had not a clue if the world had ended yet or not. Not a clue as to where everyone went. Holding his hands in the air to symbolize that he meant no harm, he took a few steps forward, and inspected the Rebel Flame.

Ooc: Yeah, I was half expecting the passengers to discover left behind folded clothes and stuff like that...

IC:

It was too silent for her liking. Darting her eyes back and forth, towards the empty stone pavements then back to the rift from whence she came, Sakiko felt the necessity of making noise herself. The absence of regularity tore her nerves to shreds, which annoyed and frightened her at the same time. She wasn't one to loose her head so easily, but the eerie feeling - no, thought - of being abandoned was rapidly getting to her.

Brushing her hair to one side, she peered at the solemn buildings thoughtlessly. She had no idea what she was expecting, but for the moment, standing still as a statue and listening for any sound whatsoever seemed to be in her best interest.

Moments passed, the same grave dearth of people looming over the abandoned North Castle like a thick fog.

Sakiko cleared her throat; goosebumps arose on her skin, alarmed at her own voice after a long period of silence.

And then, from a distance, she thought she heard a faint hum of voice. The mage was still for a fraction of a second, checking for her own sanity. When she convinced herself - in a fraction of a second, of course - that the buzz of sound was real, she stirred into life. Relief and wariness flooded her being as she quickly half-ran to where the sounds led her.

"Be calm, calm, calm, calm, calm..."

The words blurred together as she repeated them to herself, her voice low and muttering.

She saw them. A whole group of them.

The mage couldn't help but crack up a miniscule grin at the sight of a familiar face - Kasei. She hurried towards the group, sighting a sheikah clad in black from her peripheral vision, and breathed,

"I hope I'm not the only one clueless here."

OOC: Thank God I finally got three people to post, and more are free to join. They just have to make sure they are following all the previous posts, and that they follow the rules. And yes, I will try to actually recruit others.

IC: Most of the group was no doubt relieved to see other people were also here. The first newcomer came with a man following behind him, asking them who they were. Thus, they had no choice but to introduce themselves. However, then a third person showed up, one who didn't know that much common speak, and then, the third, a girl who was wondering if she wasn't the only clueless person. The group seemed to act as though Brian and another tall, suave looking man were the ones taking care of them. They were about to explain themselves to this crowd, but as it so happened, something else happened.

Another rift opened, and out stepped Orpheous and Simon. They were both dressed in their usual cloaks, sandals, and watches, but something else had occurred. The watches had stopping ticking. The hands stopped moving entirely. Anybody else who had examined a cloak would have realized it as well. All the time-telling devices weren't working. Orpheous and Simon looked around at the group and the others. Orpheous spoke up, "Ok, what happened this time."

Then, Brian spoke. He was in his early thirties. His voice sounded similar to that of a mid-western American, despite the fact he was clearly Hylian, and he was talking in common speak. So, really, he had no distinguishable accent. "Well, we were all about to introduce ourselves to this kind fellow here who asked. And I would find it very fit that we do that, considering I don't know any of the people behind me," this was said clearly about the group. "However, I think we should all go around and introduce ourselves and what we were doing here in North Castle Town. Perhaps that will help us figure out our predicament better.

"My name is Brian Engle. You may or may not have noticed the craft that I and my fellow passengers arrive in, but it serves as a long-range warping vehicle to those who can't or don't want to warp themselves. I was supposed to be piloting the vehicle, but I had gotten news of my ex-wife's death and they fitted me as too much of a wreck to pilot the craft. I was given a free ticket as a passenger because I work for the company, and I used it to get here to take care of my ex-wife's funeral arrangements and the like." Concluded, he signaled to the tall suave man to explain himself.

"Well, my name is Nick Hopewell." Right off the bat, he sounded much like an Englishman. Once again, nobody would know what an Englishman was, but that was what his accent sounded like. He was in his mid-twenties, and he appeared to be a human. "I am here as a real estate agent, you know, to sell houses in that new block of Rauru Town." He left the floor open for another passenger.

This time, Craig Toomey took his chance. He was in his late twenties. Blood was coming out of his nose. "My name is Craig Toomey. I am a highly regarded business man, and I have a very important business meeting in Ruto Town." Then addressing Brian, shouting in his face, "AND I WANT TO GET THERE YESTERDAY. GOT IT? SO GET THIS THING OUT OF THE AIR, AND TAKE ME TO RUTO TOWN LIKE THE FULL ROUND TICKET SAID THIS CRAFT WOULD."

Nick interrupted him, speaking very calmly, with hardly a singe of anger. "Please shut your mouth before I do to your jaw what I did to your nose." Remembering the occurrence, the human shut his mouth, for now.

Next, another man spoke; he had a very Sherlock way about his speaking, much like Orpheous'. However, he couldn't be considered in his youth. He appeared to be in his late forties, and he was clearly a human. "My name is Bob Jenkins. I write mystery novels. I used to be quite famous actually, but that was so long ago. It has been a while since I made a best seller, and was coming here for inspiration."

Then, a teen girl spoke, embarrassed. She appeared to be roughly sixteen, and she was either Hylian or Human, perhaps a cross-breed. "My name is Bethany Simms. I am going to be frank with you, no matter how much it hurts me. My folks were sending me here to go into rehab because I have a drug problem." She didn't feel so comfortable continuing to talk, so the teen boy, not much older than her, probably seventeen, standing next to her decided to talk the mike. He looked like a Sheikah, but it was hard to tell in the lighting.

"My name is Albert Kaussner." In his hands was a string instrument case. "I am a teen violin prodigy, and I came here to study underneath a famous violin player: Kamen Petkov." After he was finished, silence again.

Then, Dinah went up to speak. She was roughly ten, and the glasses that are issued to blind people shrouded her eyes. She was, without question, a Zora. "My name is Dinah Bellman. I am blind. My aunt was on the flight with me, to take me to visit my parents, but when I woke up, she was gone? The air smells funny, and despite the fact I'm wondering around, I didn't bump into anybody. Something seems amiss here, and I'm scared?" She began to curl up in a ball and cry (if blind people can cry, if not, than she sobbed).

Another woman, in her late twenties comforted the girl. After Dinah was doing better, the woman introduced herself. "My name is Laurel Stevenson. I am a teacher, and I was heading here to get some face-to-face advice from a teacher who teaches many kids with special needs. I am probably the most qualified to take care of Dinah, here, and I will do my best." The floor was silent again.

Then, another man spoke. He was in his early forties. He was a bit … large, he and was wearing a custom-tailored suit. He was a Hylian, for sure. “My name is Rudy Warwick. I am a business man, but nothing like our friend Toomey here.” Toomey took much offense to this statement, and was about to strike him, when Nick raised a hand. Toomey immediately fell back in line. “I was heading here to attend the opening of the new restaurant. They say the food is so good, the King himself would eat there if he ever went out in public much. It wasn’t supposed to open until tomorrow, but I decided I would get here early and scope out some other patrons of fine class dining establishments.”

The next man to speak up was a Goron, probably mid-thirties by the look of him. His muscles were huge, and he stood much taller than many of the others. Luckily, he knew common speak well enough to tell his story. “My name is Don Gaffney. I used to work in construction. After helping build so many important places, I had enough money to retire. I was just in town to visit my family and relax.”

Finally, the last of the eleven introduced themselves. She was a female human, no older than eighteen. “My name is Cassandra, or Cassi, Siedl. I just got back from a long trip from home, and I am happy to just come back here to my family.”

Orpheous soaked it all in, like a sponge, missing nothing. Simon, on the other hand, he was too zoned out to take it all in. Luckily, if he had any questions, Orpheous could answer them. After waiting a few minutes, Orpheous asked Toomey, “What sort of business man are you?” He didn’t ask this rudely, more like somebody asking for insight more than anything.

Toomey snapped back, “I am an investment banker, AND I HAVE A LARGE DEAL TO MAKE IN RUTO TOWN AT FIVE (Sorry about this next part) – GODDESSDAMN- O’CLOCK.” Nick prepared to hurt Toomey, but once again, Toomey just stopped.

Orpheous waited a few more moments for Toomey to calm down. “I can understand if you are all stressed right now, but please try to remain calm and reasonable. Yelling will accomplish nothing, nor will it make you any more intimidating. My name is irrelevant, but everybody in Hyrule calls me Orpheous. I am one the co-founders, and voted head, of the People’s Front of Hyrule, which is a group who highly trained specialists who deal with trouble wherever it may hide. Whether it is from criminal syndicates or corrupt officials in our own government, we deal with any threats that try to upset the peace we wish to maintain in Hyrule. I also have skill in wordmancing, but, as I tried a few minutes before you all started introducing yourselves, my summoning skills seem to have no use here.”

Next, Simon Grendel spoke. “Hey, my name is Simon Grendel. Perhaps some of you remember a time when a warlord named Roronek owned an extent of this country. Well, part of that extent was my village, and, while trying to overthrow his tyrannous reign, my parents were killed, just like all the other rebels, which was probably six seventh’s of village. My sister died a few weeks later, because she had lost to will to live without mom and dad. However, I lingered on, until this great man here,” he said, pointing to Orpheous, who was doing a sign with his hands to say that he was not that great, “found me. I became his apprentice, and fellow scribe. After we did much questing, we created the People’s Front of Hyrule, or the PFH. I was a co-founder of the group. Since it was founded, it has done nothing but help the greater good of the struggle for peace.”

The nineteen year old finished, and Orpheous took the well again. “There you go again Simon, glorifying my impulse to do the right thing.” Then, addressing the group instead of Simon, he added, “But really though guys, I have made some major mistakes in my past, and I don’t deserve being called glorious.” Then he looked back at Simon, “No matter how much I have done to make up for it.”

The floor was empty again for anybody else who wanted to speak…

OOC: I would refrain from having you characters ask any questions to any of my characters in your next post. First off, your next post is supposed to be for introducing your character. Second off, you can have your characters ask questions to mine only if it is their nature, and they couldn’t resist it. Should this occur, I will get on your answer immediately and post here prematurely with it. And should your character want to lie about themselves, that is up to you entirely. I can tell you at least one of my characters didn’t tell the whole story.

On a completely different, note: Kuro, forgive me for coincidently using the first name Cassandra for one of my characters. However, I’ve been through situations like this before (remember the whole Michael thing), so I suppose I could work it out by always calling this Cassandra with her last name, or by her nickname, assuming your Cassandra won’t have one. Also, to anybody else, I know Kuro isn’t participating in this topic, but I am putting this here should he read the post.

And, also, sorry it took so long to type this up, sure hope it can fit in with one post.

Both Kasei and Alfiey looked onward as the entire group introduced themselves. Halfway through, Kasei decided to pull a hylian cigar out of his pocket and place it in his mouth. He snapped his fingers, and a nice fire appeared on his thumb, which he used to light the aforementioned cigar. When the entire carrier crew was finished, the Rebel Flame stepped forward.

"My name is Kasei D Gobi. I am currently a general for Hyrule's army You may know me, maybe not. My freind here is Alfiey, a rito. He is a guardsman from the southern Hylian area The both of us are here on an urgent mission to speak with King Harkinian." He said, and the Rito man bowed courteously.

"I wonder, do any of you know what happened?" He asked. "I have noticed that there seems to be no people here . . . at all."

OOC: May I introduce someone else laterz?

Rasul was growing angrier and angrier by the minute. All this jabber was going on around him, and he could only pick out a sentence or two of it. Sporul... Zoc? He thought bitterly, as he stood there. Not a chance he could introduce himself, not that he would if he could speak. "Hi..." A voice said from behind him. Rasul whirled around amazed that she had remained there undetected for as long as she did. She had dark green hair, and she was wearing the regular thief apparel. The daggers that sat at her sides sealed the deal. She had the perfect figure, and she was absolutely beautiful. Her eyes, although she tried to make them look sinister, had a sparkle to them that couldn't go unnoticed. She took a few steps into the group, and looked around at everyone. "The name's none of your business- but you can call me black-cat." She paused to get some surprised expressions from the crowd, but got nothing more than stares. "Black-cat? Nobody?! Auuuugghhh!! I'm a wanted thief!! Hello?! BLACK-CAT. I-"

"Dohn't caire."

She was interrupted by Rasul, and not too happy about it. "If you want to keep your eyes and your lungs in working order, I'd suggest you shut your dindamn mouth." She turned around glaring at the men in suits. "If any of you have anything valuable, I suggest you hand it over now before I have to take it from you later." She obviously didn't expect there to be any warriors in the group.

OOC: I kind of like this little character I created just now. She's got spunk. I think I'll keep her! :D
(but don't let that stop you Orph, do as you like.) 8)

Sakiko had silently listened to the others introduce themselves, but wasn't too interested. After half-heartedly taking in the information, she decidedly concluded that Toomey was annoying, and he definitely was going on her bad side list. All the others were alright, and she was rather glad to find that quite a few people were on the same boat as she was.

The mage didn't find the disclosing of too much personal information neccessary - such as explaining why she had wanted to get on the rift - and thus said shortly,

"My name is Sakiko, I am a mage, obviously."

She closed her lips, letting anyone who wanted to scan her physical appearance. The most notable thing about her featuers was that she was deathly pale, as if she had just woken up from death itself. Her hair hung in a silvery cascade down her back, serving almost as a curtain between herself and the world. Sakiko's face looked tight and unwelcome, as if any polite inquiry would send her into a fit of annoyance and contempt.

"If any of you have anything valuable, I suggest you hand it over now before I have to take it from you later."

Sakiko turned her head, her cold, gray eyes resting on the newcomer. A cursory glance was all it took to decide that Black-Cat was going to be the second person on her negative list. In fact, she had so many people in her bad side list that she could not name all of them, or even remember them until she saw them.

"What will you do with the valuables if we can't even find out the cause of this crisis and get out of it?"

She muttered this quietly, not intending to be heard.
