"And now we have two very skilled competitors here: Worru the ranger and Orpheous the scribe!" Rafael shouted seemingly out of nowhere. He soared around the arena as he spoke this over the crowds excited cheers. He flew lower in an attempt to get a better perspective of the battle. "Fight whenever you are ready!"

The young hybrid groaned, stretching to get himself ready, as he remembered just what happened the last time he tried to fight the scribe. Strangely, the entire fight didn't hurt as badly as it should've, but he had forgotten that one glitch in the system long ago by now. Instead, Worru now simply drew his sword and his dagger [Dual Wield LV2]], and then charged his much older friend, hoping that if this was a defeat, it would end quickly.

Rafael and the crowd watched intently as the ranger charged at Orpheous. The dual blades miss the agile scribe, though (7+6[roll+AGI] vs. 15+2[DEF+AGI]). "Orpheous has shown a great ability to dodge attacks in this tournament," Rafael said. "Worru will likely need luck on his side if he wants to win this."

Orpheous sighed as he narrowly avoided the blow. He wasn't doing so well. He was actually doing quite horribly. Not in his combat life, just at his current feelings in general. He felt ill, even though he knew he was as healthy as an ox. Something was gnawing at his very soul and essence. But what?

It mattered not now. Orpheous sighed again. "Salutations Worru," he said, almost in the boys ear. "Sorry about this, but I intend to win, and I'm not going easy on you." He got back a distance, and them made the pistol formation with both hands joined together. His index finger and middle finger extended as the barrel. His thumb stuck up, as the hammer. "Elemental Burse - Light," he said dropping his thumb with the word light. He cloak fluttered as he was pushed back a bit. A bolt of light, not quite orb shape, shot at the ranger [Elemental Burst - Light L1].

The shining orb flies toward Worru. Despite any efforts on Worru's part, the irregular orb crashes into him with a maximum ferocity, unaffected by any resistance put up by the boy (2+1[roll+AGI]). Being of the light element, the burst does a boosted 26 damage to it's target. "Orpheous is starting out strong," Rafael said, "but Worru might still pull off a victory for this one.

The young boy didn't say anything after he was shot, nor was he sent to the ground as the burst landed, though he could clearly feel the pain. He took a moment to loosen up, before sheathing the wooden dagger and his bronze shortsword before holding his own arm up, letting fire meld and trace its way down his left arm, now settling at his palm. Elemental Burst - Fire, was the name of this attack, turning from it's usual red and orange to a dark green color, as it raced from his hand to the Scribe. [[Elemental Burst LV2]]

IC: Worru's elemental burst fire was huge. It was a dark green and spinning toward orpheus. It hit him and incased him. It then disbursted. (14+2)+1 It did a smashing 17 dmg making it almost even. The crowd went wild. Rapheal was in awe. "This might be close, will Worru change the tide."
