The walk was a hot one, but the two adventurers had finally arrived to the cool air of the Tantari Cafe. The Zora pushed open the doors to the cafe, and led his new aquaintance to an empty booth. Sitting down, he rested his elbows on the table, as a waiter appeared at the side of the table. He was a Hylian man with blonde hair, and a nice smile. He was in the traditional Tantari Cafe uniform, and was holding two menus. "Well if it isn't Taint!" He chuckled, and placed the two menus on the table.

"So is this your daughter or something?" He asked innocently, placing a hand on his hip. "I'm a Zora, Karve." Taint said flatly, fanning himself with his menu. "Hey, I've seen wierder in Hyrule. Don't even get me started on Lue and Bruce." Taint waved a hand playfully. "Yeah, yeah, point taken." The waiter got out his pen, and readied his pad of paper. "I'll have the usual." The Zora stated, placing a menu near the man. "A fried Cucco with fine Deku wine... Got it." He turned to the younger woman sitting across from her nomadic friend. "And what can I get you?

OOC: It'll be really nice to be familiar with a character when you come across eachother in other topics

Oh, and your posts here don't have to be prize winning novels. I'm ZeldaVeteran, and I'm the worst of the best around here. I like your writing style, you're seriously talented. :)

Chisalu listened, affronted at the suggestion of being related, and nervous of the relation between the Hylian and the Zoran, she sat down opposite Taint, and pushed her fingers to the table edge, clasping them round it quietly. She carefully looked at the menu.

"I'm not his daughter" She commented quietly, then looked up. "Lue? Bruce? Who are they?" she stared expectantly at the two men, hoping for englightment, before ducking her eyes down at the menu. "Uh...what am I allowed?" Chisa asked meekly. "I...need a lot of nutrients...or my hair will start falling out again...uhm..." She trailed off, waiting for restrictions.

ooc; "Familiarity breeds hostility" is probably what Chisa would say to that, heh, but very true. I don't know too many here, writers or characters.

I'm Persona, or Alias, and...thank you, I hardly think I deserve the compliment though. Plus, just looking around HA2, you have some severely skilled writers here.

The Hylian man wiped his forehead, and tried his best to smile. It would appear he'd been working quite hard. "You're allowed to have anything on the menu that isn't alcoholic, and anything that isn't Goronic. Trust me on that one." He winked, and held his pen, ready to write down the order.

Often when enough choice is provided, narrowing it down quickly becomes impossible. This was currently the case for Chisalu. As a street-living vermin of a Sheikah, a large range of food was available, but the chance to choose what one ate, that was not so rife. So Chisalu looked up and down the menu, unsure. She hadn't exactly been presented with many options in her life, and as such, her prickly and misplaced independence fell back into a childish dependence at the situation. She stared up at Taint suddenly, begging him to make a choice for her. After all, as he was the patron for this meal, he ought to decide what was worth spending on her stomach.

"Uh." She looked down again. "I'm sorry" She managed politely "There's too much choice" She mumbled. She glanced back to the café door. What time was it anyway? "I like Sheikahn tea...sweet..." She finally conceded. "...and fried cucco is nice..." She added after a few long seconds. She put the menu done and pushed it away from herself, as if it might burn her.

Then she looked up at Taint, certainty now back on her features. "Tell me about you" She demanded punctually, not even indicating she might return the favour.

ooc; Good thing they don't cost anything (besides, this meal would be on you) and I completely agree there, at least in terms of roleplay sites, this place has got a very strong core of truly...well incredible writers. I guess the downside is this place can look a bit intimidating

The waiter, never breaking his half smile, jotted the order down on his paper, whilst reading it allowed as he wrote. "One fried Cucco... aaaannnnddd... Black Sheikahn Tea- Sweetened..." He finished, and nodded to Taint. "We'll have your orders out right away." He swiftly left the table, calling out something in ancient Hylian. Taint leaned across the table, and motioned for Chisalu to come closer. "See how he calls out in ancient Hylian?" He motioned towards the ktichen. "I've worked here before, so I know this- one of the best chefs in the Ruto Mountains works back there, but here's the catch: He only speaks ancient Hylian. Crazy, yeah?" He leaned back in his seat, and placed his arms behind his head. "Karve and I started working at this place around the same time, so we naturally became 'new employee buddies'. He always makes sure I get food from Cartoro himself. You made a good choice with that fried Cucco." Taint reassured her. "I've never tried the Black tea though... Is it good?"
"Tell me about you"
Taint cocked an eyebrow at the demand. "Tell you about me?" He asked, wondering if he caught that right. Finally, he placed his elbows on the table, and rested his head in his hands, gazing out the window. "I'm a traveler. I wander from place to place, exploring this world. I don't have a penny to my name, and I'm not a registered citizen here in Hyrule. If I were ever to be arrested by the Royal Guards..." He trailed off, returning to the main subject. "I have no family or friends. No ties to anyone. If I were to just disappear, nobody would miss me." He was almost comically setting himself up to be jumped, murdered, and looted by anyone nearby.

"I'm not exactly a thinker. I've gotten better with spells through extensive training, but I mostly just rely on this old sword in my sheath." He finished staring in the direction of the ocean. The way the sky looked on the horizon was proof that an ocean sat snuggly under it. "I'm just a normal guy. A drifter really. I plan to explore the Southern regions of this continent after everything is cleared up down there." He trailed off again. "I actually helped clear out that pass a little bit... But seeing so many strong people... They didn't need me." He looked a little distressed when he let that last sentence pass his lips, but quickly shrugged off the feeling. "I've never stolen anything from anyone... But I do somehow get by." He smiled, and then shrugged. "Anything else you need to know?"

OOC: That is a downside to newbies. But once you get to know everyone around here, you'll find that they're all very awesome people. Trust me, you might not know it, but... You've got a few fans.
