As far as Wyndisis is concerned, the time he lived before he came across a small island did not exist. Every bit of it is a painting, a painting who's artist smeared a hand across it, leaving it forever defaced. No soul is capable of stopping what happened before that horrible time.

Wyndisis was a skilled warrior, still is. His older brother and he served in their Zora tribe's militia on the small island of Quialio. Without warning, and for reasons the Zoras of Quialio couldn't understand, Ganon's forces came there and slaughtered them all. The militia fought, and they were crushed. Wyndisis watched his brother die. He hid, and fear kept him from saving his brother. Ganon's troops held the island, and he fled. He swam with no place in mind.

Eventually he found himself on a small deserted island. It was a good place to be, for he needed some time alone, to pull himself together. He wasn't alone though. A spirit, a dark one, inhabited the island as well. In some way, it made Wyndisis feel stronger. He let it take a hold of him, but he used it to his benefit.

Wyndisis, who moved to the Hyrule mainland, is now twisted and evil. His formerly indigo eyes have turned into black holes. He leads a society called the Dark Acolytes, and claims to be the holder of The Black Flame, a manifestation of dark thoughts and emotions.
