Huh, the man was truly an interesting personality. He acted as though he was king of the world, and that nothing could phase him. Truly a chipper character to the core. Orpheous remembered when he was that carefree. Times were changing. He watched as the human downed one drink right away, the ordered another. Then the human got his drink, and began approaching the scribe. The scribe shrunk back further into his corner, hoping to be ignored, but to no avail. The human introduced himself as Jerrick. At least he had a name. And he seemed genuinely concerned. Maybe he wasn't such a bad guy after all.

"Well, Jerrick" began the scribe. "My name is Orpheous. And my problem is that an army roughly five hundred or more strong plans to march from the Flats to North Castle over the course of the next few days, and I've been charged with stopping them." He smiled grimly. "You look like quite an adventure yourself. And here I was, I would've sworn that there was a sign posted on the wall next to the entrance to the Ornery explaining my plight. Normally, I wouldn't ask this of most strangers, but you look like the sort of fellow to hold your own. If you don't have a problem rising early tomorrow, we plan to meet outside the Castle by the gate and march to meet with a battalion of knights before we intercept the fiend's forces. You'd be quite a hero if you came along. What do you say?"

Jerrick grinned. "Of course I'll help! Sounds really fun!" He exclaimed before downing the rest of his drink. He didn't care to ask who they were or what they wanted. "I love North Castle and everything in it! I aint gonna let anyone mess that up! I'll give em a knuckle sandwich!!" He cried out holding his fist up and grabbing his wrist. "I normally wake up at 5:00AM for a morning run. That early enough for ya?" He asked as he leaned back in his chair and propped his bare feet up on the table. "In any case, it sounds like a whole lotta fun, and I could stand to be a hero for a day. See ya there!" He nodded.

Orpheous nodded, this Jerrick fellow seemed pretty nice after all. "Yes, that sounds early enough. I shan't think we will be moving out until the late morning though." He was so enthusiastic, now they finally had a merry band of adventures to aid the small group of knights that they had thus far gathered. The future awaited, and on the horizon was a dark evil, stirring.
