IC: A graveyard, several tombstones lie about. One, however, is still fresh, and in front of it, a rose lies there. On the tombstone, the writing says " Here lies Link, Wandering Swordsman of Hyrule..."
In the middle of the bustling streets, a teenage boy roams, wearing a black tunic, black pants and a single sleeve over his left arm. he walks till he reaches the ruins of a burned-down house. He smiles. "I don't know where I am now, but I guess it's time to start anew, guys." the boy says. "And let's have some fun!" He raises his right arm into the air. "Zach's gonna make this world a brighter place!
OoC: Betcha don't remember/ know who I am!

IC: Zach looks around, and scratches his head. "Isn't this the part where a seemingly old friend pops up? I'm getting lonely here. Any more, and I might stir up the guards for mischief." he said.
OoC: guards, if ya wanna take a guess, here's a hint.
"Where 9 roses lie, a Link you'll find, with 0-h no more than 9 life points left."
Not too obvious, but should be fairly simple.

Eberron was slumped against the wall of a nearby building, his Goron skin dried and cracked. He looked like he'd been through hell and back, and his eyes told a similar story. Blank, almost expressionless and lost in memory, Eberron moved his head in an inexplicably slow manner to look towards the source of noise and movement that for some reason had caught his attention. Shifting the large wooden brimmed hat that was placed on the top of his head slightly, he scratched the back of his head in an idle manner.
"Hey..."
His voice was slightly dull and almost... slowed down. As if he was slowly recovering from the bitter cold and couldn't move his mouth well.
"The world's pretty bright as it is... Though I guess more bright is good... Everyone likes bright things. Even shiny things wouldn't be so shiny if the world wasn't bright."
Looking up as if on cue at the sun, Eberron's eyes gained a bit more of their usual energy and excitement as he continued. His voice, it seemed, was following a similar pattern.
"Yeah... It sure is pretty."
Letting out a large Goron yawn, Eberron looked directly at the individual who had somehow gained his attention.
"But how are you going to make it better?"

Amongst the many tombstones that dotted the cemetery, a Zora was knelt in prayer for his lost friend. When he stood up, he left a flower near the grave. Taint was dressed plainly today- pants, belt, boots, and shirtless like he used to be. He had flaunted his newfound wealth enough, and he once again returned to his humble nature. While he would never go hungry or homeless again, he still felt the yearn for adventure. He turned and began walking when suddenly he stopped. In front of him stood a teenage boy dressed in black. He looked awfully happy for someone in a cemetery.
"I don't know where I am now, but I guess it's time to start anew, guys. And let's have some fun! Zach's gonna make this world a brighter place!"
Taint stared at the boy for several second. Lilly, who'd been resting on the Zora's shoulder, took flight, and fluttered near Taint's ear. "Who is he talking to?" She whispered, the Zora only shrugging his shoulders. The only other life form nearby was the Goron, who seemed lazier than the laziest Goron. The Zora moved towards the boy and examined him closely. "Brighten up the place? How exactly are we going to do that?" Lilly fluttered around madly, "We?! WE?! You're joining him??" Taint smiled at the fairy, "He's got a good cause. We're not doing anything. Why not?" The fairy dropped onto the nomad's shoulder, laying down on her back. "Fine. Do whatever. I don't care."
"Good!" The Zora smiled, obviously not catching her sarcasm. He turned back to the boy and extended an arm, at the end of which brand new gauntlets covered the open hand. "So I take it you're Zach? I'm Taint, and this is my buddy Lilly." He turned to the Goron, not about to leave him unnoticed. "And nice to meet you too Mr. Goron. I didn't catch your name."

Pulling himself forcefully off the ground and lifting the large bag with surprising strength, Eberron hoisted it onto his back in a single movement. A quiet Goron moan escaping his mouth, he shook his head and looked between the two travellers in front of him.
"Is this a group now? You're joining up to do something?"
His brain now beginning to kick back into gear, Eberron quietly reprimanded himself. What had he been doing with himself recently? There wasn't the time to wallow in self pity. If he wasn't strong enough yet, there was only one way to fix that... To get travelling again. Stretching out and cracking his knees as he stretched, Eberron continued.
"Maybe I could help? I have nothing else to do right now... Hey! You like rocks? I've got plenty of delicious rocks, some of the best are kept in here..."
Reaching round to the hefty bag dominating his back, he pulled out a particularly scrumptious looking specimen and groaned at the effort. His arms needed more of a stretch around. Continuing with his work out, Eberron momentarily forgot about the rock gift in his hand before he noticed the fairy on Taint's shoulder.
"Ooo... Little person."
His eyes going wide with wonder, Eberron took a careful step forwards and then two back in quick succession.
"... Pretty."

IC: Zach bowed. "Indeed, I am the infamous Zach Nightt. And I know what this place needs. It needs more smiles. Lately, all there is are frowns, heck while wandering, I saw several civilians with frowns. What I wanted to start with is to first find a way to bring a smile of hope to all these citizens, guards, and even the animals. And then we move on to the next town, and make them smile! In honesty, I'm looking for something precious to me, too. Something I call, "The Blade of the Sunlight's Moon." A sword I designed." He then looked around. "But that blade, I can wait for. As long as I give hope, then I can wait." He looked at the fairy, zora, and goron, who was eying something. "I hope that we can all do our best!"
OoC: So for, how's my writings?

"Smiling is good."
Eberron stood stock still, his eyes not moving for a second from the fairy that had so grabbed his attention. He had never seen anything quite like it before. Or, if he had, he could not remember it. Slowly shifting the large hat seated on his head to the side so his face was more visible, Eberron finally turned to look at Zach.
"I am Eberron. I travel. And sometimes fight things. And try to help people, and look at flowers... And collect rocks."
Grinning broadly, he moved energetically towards Zach in a manner quite unlike his slow pondering movements before. Clearly his stretches had done the trick.
"It is good to meet someone who likes making people smile! As far as hobbies go, I think that's a pretty heroic trait! And I like heroes."
Giggling to himself, Eberron sat down and looked over at Taint, his eyes squinting through the sun from his low position.
"Sorry about earlier with your friend... I think I was rude. I try not to be, it gets hard sometimes. It is good to meet you Taint!"

IC: Zach looked to the group. "The more the merrier, as they say. If we keep a good morale, this town will be full of smiles before the day's up!" Then he smiled a devious smile. "And then my lovely Bow-Wow will have plenty-" He was cut off by his left arm hitting him. Zach tumbled backwards, then recovered to his feet. "C'mon, Lumy! Can't you lighten up once in a while?! I was really kidding! Sheesh, it's not like you can find a wild Bow-Wow, and tame it every day." He said. Zach laughed a bit, but then he remembered the other people standing behind him. He turned, his face going red. "Eh heh, Sorry you had to see that. Me and Lumina work together a lot, but she can be rather uptight, and has zero sense of humor sometimes, but she's a rather great gal." He raised his left arm, and clenched his fist. "It's a shame that she has to be with me, but sometimes, one person can have a great resolve to keep moving forward, no matter what happens. She's happy that I'm carefree, and do things my way, but it can really hurt me a lot. Like the other day, I decided to help an old goron find some rocks. I decided to bomb a nearby mountain for some caves. Let's just say I was lucky to escape an avalanche, and an earthquake. And a beating." He shook his head. "Good times... But not gonna get far reminiscing about the past. We just have to move forward." Zach walked towards the Castle Courtyard. "Maybe I could stone two rocks with one bird there." he murmured to himself.

"Ooo... Little person... Pretty."
Lilly smiled coyly, and flicked her wrist at the Goron. "Oh, go on... Thanks..." after which she fluttered into Taint's pocket. The Zora grinned, and whispered, "Well that shut her up." He felt her pinch his thigh from within his pocket, and winced slightly. "You gotta love her," he added with a smile.
"Now how exactly are we going to make people smile? You really didn't answer my question." He said flatly, listening to Zach talk on. Then he hit himself over the head. The Zora stood there, mouth agape, at what was possibly the weirdest thing he'd seen all week.
"Ummm..." Words couldn't come to his mouth. He wanted to say and ask so many things at once. Before he could speak another syllable, Zach kindly explained. Well, sorta.
"Lumina?" He asked. Lilly poked her head out of his pocket, and leaned on her elbows. "What's a Lumina?" She asked cocking her head. Taint wiped his eyes in sheer confusion, and waved his hands. "Whoa whoa whoa... You just expect to let us see that, and then just walk away? Does your arm have free will of its own? What's the matter with it?" He finally brought those questions to light, hoping to have them answered quickly- for he was very curious. "I mean that's even kookier than Dogura's arm... Or you know, how his arm used be, before... Well, it doesn't matter. It's just weird Zach, it's weird, I'm sorry."
OOC: I typed up a post and posted it. Then I come back, and it looks as if someone deleted my post. Words can't express how much it upsets me either. It was a pretty lengthy post too. In any case, your writing can be infinitely improved by doing two things.
1. Download Google Chrome or Firefox. Both come with a spell checker and it'll save you a lot of time.
2. Proofreading. There's no substitute for proofreading. There are several things that a spell-checker won't fix. Just read through your post a second time (especially if it's really short), and you'll catch all kinds of things.
The trick is to just take your time. The only time it's completely acceptable to NOT proofread is if your post is practically a novel XD
I've made some really long posts in my day, and just said screw it, I want food. So no worries. It's just that when a post is short, it should be error free, and as sweet as possible ^^
Hope I helped in some small way.

Eberron was somewhat confused by Lilly's reaction to his comments, and looked momentarily concerned that he might have said something to offend her. This was, however, immediately removed from his brain when he noticed Zach's routine. Staring in mild disbelief, Eberron opened his mouth a few times as if to speak before finally reaching into his bag for yet another rock. Bringing it to his mouth and crunching down on it at breakneck speed, Eberron raised an eyebrow before rubbing his chin.
Nodding his head serenely, he continued like this for a full ten seconds before coming to a startling conclusion.
"... I think there's something wrong with your arm."

IC: Zach moved his left arm. "It's a curse that was put on me several years ago. It was Lumina, who awakened from the curse, as a gift. She can articulate objects if she wishes, but so long as I touch it first with the left arm. But that effect lasts for about forty-two hours. Except for my arm, that, itself is affected 24/7. That's a good thing, as It can help me get my weapon if I drop it. But she's not so bad. Once you get to know her, she's really kind. Bad thing is, I haven't met anyone else who can even hear her, let alone see her. It's sad, but she's a kind of a step- mother to me. Ever since my real mom died 5 years back, she's been helping me through thick and thin, which is why I'm looking for that sword. A beautiful dedication to her." Zach explained. "I'm a little iffy on telling people, but if we're gonna travel around, you have a reason to know." He smiled. "As for making people smile, I follow a motto, 'When it comes to smiles, it costs nothing.' I do everything to make people smile, no matter what. Another motto, "Action speaks louder than words" is very true too. It doesnt matter what you do, as long as they are happy, then I know my job is done. And then I bring a Bow-Wow to try and get rid of vermin, and I end up having to pay for repairs." Zach's left arm smacked him. "Oh come on, You remember that incident too!" He smiled. "Anyways, the bad thing about the curse prevents me from aging at all, but good news is I can always help people out. As for making people out, well, I do always help with the heavy-lifting, and grocery shopping, but now, I'm more interested in being a nomad! I always dreamed of adventure! And, it was Lumina's idea to get out of the castle. But not after finding any tips for our sword. of course. I'd be grateful if I had some company for some time. Or else the monsters might eat me alive. and just to make things clear, I DO NOT drink blood! What kinda monster would do that? to begin with? Redeads? Anyways, all stuff aside, I hope that there's something we can do now."
OoC: Yeah I have Firefox, and I keep a careful eye on stuff that otherwise won't make sense, or work out at all. And TBQH, I take my time, sometimes, but I can be fairly quick, and make few mistakes (Surprisingly.. O_o) I meant, in terms of descriptions, and such. I'm still improving, and I need to get more in to proofreading, but I have too much fun writing to even remember. I get in the habit every once in a while, though.

Lilly slowly ascended to the side of Taint's head. She silently whispered into his ear, "I think this guy is a little... off. I don't think we should be helping him..." The Zora closed his eyes for a quiet moment, and exhaled deeply. "He's just looking for a little adventure... Does that remind you of anyone we know?" He smiled at her. Her face got all red and hot, and she buzzed around wildly, "That's not the same!!" She cried out, not even bothering to whisper anymore. "Isn't it?" The nomad responded slyly. Once again, she dove into his pocket and out of sight.
Taint turned his head back to Zach. "Okay, okay. So what first? Lead the way."
OOC: If you wanted anymore tips, your comma placements are a little off.
Except for my arm, that, itself is affected 24/7.
"Except for my arm; that itself is affected 24/7."
A semicolon could have been used like that to separate two sentences. You could have also worded it differently. "Except for my arm, which is affected 24/7."
I had a LOT of trouble with commas when I first started here. I put them everywhere, I was far worse than you. The problem with improper comma placement is that it causes the reader to pause for a second (what the comma is for). With too many pauses, it makes the reader have to go back over what he or she read to get the gist of what they just read.
What kinda monster would do that? to begin with? Redeads?
The second question mark is unnecessary.
"What kind of monster would do that to begin with? Redeads?"
Anyways, I'm just trying to help, don't take this personally. If you don't want help, all you have to do is say so and I'll lay off.

IC: "To the square! Plenty of people there, and may-HEY! I'm not a little off! I may be a chipper fool, but I at least make people happy! Don't make me get a Bow Wow on you. Anyways, there's people over at the square. Plenty of people to help! Let's start with the elderly!" Zach said. he drew his wooden sword, and pointed it in the air. "Never fear! Zach the Wandering Swordsjester is here!" he shouted to the world. His left arm slapped him in the face. "LUMINA! are you TRYING to make me look like an idiot!?" Zach said to his arm.
OoC: Oh crap, the extra comma, and question mark was a mistake, It's one of my downfalls. When I'm writing, I make a paragraph, and then I find a mistake, and make it better, and completely forget about the first one, and sometime later, I notice it! It's a bad habit of mine, that I TRY to break, but right now, my sis and I have to share MY laptop (though there's a perfectly good PC that's old, but still works that she can use.) and I have to be a little quick, or she get's annoyed, so I have to be rather quick sometimes. And pardon the language, when I see a mistake like that, I swear sometimes.

Taint winced at the remark. Lilly seemed like she was about to blow up. The Zora grabbed her out of the air, and held her in his hands. "No worries sweetie, he was just joking. Not like I'd let anything hurt you anyways." He winked at her, and she couldn't help but smile back. He placed her on his shoulder, where she stayed silent as he followed Zach to the town square.
OOC: No worries. There aren't a clear set of rules on swearing here... I usually refrain from swearing heavily though- it just isn't classy. I've never used the F-word here at HA2, but I know others have. I think if HA3 goes up, we'll have to set up a clear rules list. I don't think we should ban swearing here, but I think certain words just aren't necessary.
