~Pyre's frown only deepened. He needed to end this battle as quick as possible. Even as his blades cut through the wizrobe's fragile body, he could feel the air getting heavier and heavier. Soon it would be hard to attack accurately at all, especially now that the creature would be on guard.

He knew that simply attacking with his blades again wouldn't be able to finish off the creature in one blow. He would need to utylize his strongest attack to win the battle, but unfortunatley, the wizrobe had powerful defences against such magical attacks. The ranger decided that it would be worth the chance. It was time to be decisive.

And so, he started to gather up magical energy to fling at his harasser. It didn't take long to amass enough to launch an elemental burst, but the medium of the attack would decide everything. The hylian wanted the attack to come as a surpise and thus have magical effect, and the only way to do that would be to use a diversion.

Once again, he tightened his grip on his blades, and sprang forward, this time only pretending to attack with his two blades. Then, he released the spell directly above the wizrobe, hoping that whatever element was unleashed would destroy the pesky monster.~

The Wizzrobe floated away from Pyre, rather than higher up. This was an unconsciously smart move, for if it had risen, it would have been obliterated by the flames that swirled overhead. By the time the magic user heard the crackling flame, it was already on it's way to meet it's target. The Wizzrobe put up it's best defense, but that defense was not enough to stop the oncoming blaze! [Roll+SPI=23] The enemy took 9 points of scorching damage. It cried out in a weak screech, as it floated gently to the floor, and held itself up with it's staff.

It wasn't as confident as before, and it tried desperately to rise back into the air. Still, it failed at this, and decided to attack the ranger as best he could, hoping that it would be enough to finish him off. It conjured a dark ball of energy, and fired it off in it's opponent's direction. The gravity pulled down on the ranger, and he was unable to move away, or even resist the magical blast [Roll+SPI=5]. Pyre took 8 points of damage. The Wizzrobe, satisfied, did it's best to hide from the ranger, but failed. It turned, frightened, and dropped to it's knees, pleading for the Ranger to spare it's life.
