OOC: Hey Malciore, you are new at this so I won't blame you. But try not to control other people by saying they were shocked. Its called god modding. You might want to see the rp help in the ornery cucco tavern. in North castle. You can get there by going to the topic called traveling within the ccastle.

Grenada walks up and notices everyone collecting the feathers from a large bird. Something about taking them to Peaktop for a Rito. The bird, thrashing around wildly, seems rather dangerous to Grenada, and he offers his best plan.

"If you want feathers, I know an easy way. For a limited time only, and a small fee, I can take care of the bird leaving enough feathers for all. Any takers?"

He looks around, giving everyone there a long enough glance at their eyes to get an idea who wouldn't object.

Julian stares at Grenada and then cracks a wide grin. " You can do whatever you want with the bird, I already have a feather." Julian waves his feather back and forth in front of Grenada and then puts it back into his satchel. " They're all on the floor. There is no need to deal with the bird.

Darilan faces Malciore, slightly peeved, and tells him, "This is not an act of cruelety. Several of the folks in this group have suggested healing it. I for one am a little worried about helping it, for I fear that this monster is incapable of feeling gratitude. And not to mention, we haven't plucked a single feather from this bird, so all the feathers in our hands are ones that it has shed on its own." The scribe is unusually angry right now; perhaps Malciore hit a bad spot. Darilan's voice deepens in a way that is barely noticeable. "Don't you accuse me of being cruel, this is a monster, a kind of monster that we may be put against. Would you feel the same if this bird tried to kill you?"

No one seemed to care either way for this bird, so Grenada took the liberty. Shaking his head, he says:

"Fine, since we may face some like you..."

He mumbles silently as he pulls the sword slowly from his hip. Twisting his wrist, the blade runs along his forearm. With his left hand, he points at the target. He lowers his head, as if saying a prayer, and then charges.

As he gets close enough to attack, he jumps, landing with his forearm above the birds throat. Head severed, the bird flops around wildly for only a few seconds before Grenada places his foot on the remaining jugular and stops the breathing.

It takes only a short time for the bird to become motionless, and he raises the blood-stained sword in front of himself proudly. Stabbing it into the ground, he then plucks a single feather from the birds belly. Pocketing it, he motions the others to the bird as if to say:

"There they are, pick your choose."

He takes the sword quickly from the ground, depositing it in the sheath quietly.

"See, easy solution, no more problems."

Despite his voice, his face shows no pleasure, no... anything; remorse, happiness, all gone.

Alpha glares at the Deku who has just killed the Roc. 'He's definately a merc...no remorse or sadness in death. It wasn't as if the bird was evil. I would have known it.' He's disgusted at this creature's death, but he is a practical man. He needs a feather, and walks forward to take one. "What's done is done," he replies to the Deku's statement, "regardless of how repulsive the action is." As he kneels over the bird and plucks a feather out, he says a quiet prayer to the goddesses.

Something inside Darilan fades away. Calm and relief fill the void of what he lost. What was lost? Remorse for the bird? Yes, that was it. When Grenada drew his sword and all was said and done he was at peace. The bird, despite its evil nature, could be in peace. Worries vanished, such as his worries of reviving it, and it not being grateful.

OOC: Ergh, it took me 20 minutes to write those five crappy lines of text. What the hell?

Hiro walks through the area, and seeing a dead bird, fidgets in his bag for a pillowcase. Hiro plucks a lot of feathers from the bird's wings. After a few hours, his pillow is fluffy. He walks off to the Northeast.

" I shall leave now, it seems that everywhere I go, anger follows me. I hold no grude to your anger. It's just I kinda' have a bad problem with death. I shall no more intrude in your ways," Malciore started to walk away. "carry on." Malciore stoped, picked up a small feather from the ground. "What the hell." Malciore put it in his satchel and left.

Victor looked down at the now dead Roc lying at his feet. Then, with a scowl and in a sarcastic voice:

"Great way to heal the bird, Deku."

Then back to his pleasant disposition.

"Then again, the bird may be in a better place now."

But as he turned to leave, he thought, "Better than where the Deku will end up, anyways."

OOC: *laughs raucously (sp?)* Good one, Victor. But on another whim--one of you clerical types could always trying a little resurrection, if you wanted. And if not, I don't blame you, but similarly, no blaming Grenada ^^. Like I always say (or not), don't protest the murdering of someone that you're not willing to resurrect. For some, the mantra is "kill em all." For others, it's "save em all." In this way, our world is balanced (er... nevermind *cackle*).

Grenada noticed how freely everyone could take feathers now, and he knew he did the right thing. But there were a few who did not agree with his actions. Victor's voice came off sharp, harsh, and angry at Grenada.

"That bird didn't need to be healed, Hylian. It was close to three times my size. Don't you understand, we might fight birds like that someday. They would be trying to kill you. Are you going to worry about healing it then?
