Aiden stopped squirming as she watched the scene unfold. Her plans for screaming died on her lips as unease and fear silenced her. Thrashing about more wildly she was trying to reach Saber, but of course to no avail. In defeat she let out a pathetic squeak, but thankfully others at least had come to rescue her hero! Well, hero of sorts... good friend.. well Saber meant something to her! She owed him too much to be stuck to a tree while he died! Her gaze was glued to the scene, bright green gaze full of fire. Whispering a prayer she hoped someone would be listening.

Ack! "Blessed be!" The phrase came out almost like a curse when some fool popped in front of her. While he stpoke it took a moment for his words to sink in. Would he free her? If so she would sprint to Saber's side, although her legs would wobble.. reguardless she'd be by his side. Did she have a song of healing to aid him? Wait, he wasn't going to free her?! Whoa.. this goofy guy weilded magic? Stunned she only nodded to his question.

Wincing she didn't close her gaze as she watched the end of the scene. Next thing she knew he was looking at her. Cheeks flushed she smiled and leaned back against the tree. Things would be ok now and she could rest a moment. Once he arrived she looked straight at him, then oof! Falling against him she apologized and thanked him at the same time! Kicking the remaining thread from her leg she looked up at the tree. "I'm fine, a little tired, thirsty, and sore, but fine." With that she scaled the tree, trying to avoid the red doom where possible. Near the top, when she could not be seen, but heard, noises of a struggle followed. "Gack, err, grr.. stupid.. red.. devil.." Then a tearing could be heard. Slowly she made her rounds about the tree two more times.

When her feet hit the ground once more she had three items with her, a dagger, a canteen, and a flute. Each had eben lost in the fray with the spider and dangled in different places in the tree, but were now rightfully back in her care. "See, fine, but what about you Saber?"

Saber brushed his hair out of his eye with a scab-covered hand and contemplated the question. How was he doing? He had finally found a clue as to the identity of this gang, and had even come in contact with some of the group. However, the whole thing had quite literally gone up in flames, and he was stuck without a trace once again. Perhaps the only person who he could have successfully interrogated had left this plane of existence, his life taken by a single well-thrown blade. Add to that the numerous beatings the mercenary had taken in the last few hours and the exhaustion caused by his mad sprint, and he was worse off than ever. "I think...we should head to Ruto Town. It's not much farther, and we'll be able to rest there and heal whatever wounds any of us may have taken." His weary eyes drifted through the forest. Where had that Sheikah gone? As well as the Goron adversary he had defended Saber from. Hopefully, he would be alright.

"Hobbe." He said curtly, his mind somewhat decided. "I would appreciate it if you escorted me to Ruto Town. Once there, feel free to take your leave if you wish." He turned back to Aiden, his eyes lingering a little on her hair--even after a rough night in the wilderness, it still had a wonderful gleam to it. "Aiden, we can get you taken care of there as well. I'm not sure how long you've been tied up here, but you must be hungry. Besides, a little music might help the mood." He added with a weary smile. Biting his lip for a few seconds, he then began to walk in what he hoped was a northerly direction. Praying his legs would carry him all the way, the fingers of his left hand rapped the hilt of his blade restlessly, his eyes downcast as he dredged up memories of the conflict, searching for anything of use.

OOC: Well, I think this will be my last post. I'm not sure. Do what you would do in this situation, maybe I'll post again if someone asks something. I'll make the new topic soon enough.

'He's lost the trail, it seems.'

Alpha sits in the treetops, gazing down on the aftermath of the short battle. A few random people had appeared from nowhere to help, allowing them to defeat that Goron without too much difficulty. Sabertache now stands with Aiden and a certain cleric, while that strange Sheikah had disappeared into the foliage again. His fellow member of the Shadow Folk is hardly important; rather his attention is focused on the one named 'Roy Hobbe' - a name he recalls quite easily. The cloak gives the man away as one of Carock's Apostles, and he remembers seeing the man's name once while in the base.

Something about the Sheikah's mannerisms has changed ever since Hobbe appeared . . . something about the Apostles causes Alpha's Wraith-mindset to slowly slip away from his consciousness, allowing him to revert slowly and surely back to his standard self. He hardly notices the change himself, but the repercussions are such that it ought have a heavy impact on Saber's quest.

The mage looks down at the stamp in his hand, carefully examining it one last time. He recognizes the symbol, of course; his days as Wraith had taught him much about the workings of criminal organizations and assassination groups that exist throughout the world. So holding onto it hardly does him any good . . . and it might be something that the nomad below him finds useful.

But Alpha has no intention of letting anyone know he's been involved with this mess . . .

His scar abruptly takes on a violet hue as he opens up a pair of portals to the Void, one right beside him and one in the shade of tree's trunk. He slowly reaches into the portal, his hand emerging from the second one just a few feet away from where Saber stands, but positioned in such a manner that no one can see it from where they stand.

He hurls the stamp to the ground, causing it to rustle up the grass relatively noisily, and quickly withdraws his fingers back through the portal, allowing them both to collapse with the same speed that they had been formed. Even though no one saw the movement, the sound should attract someone's attention, so it ought to be found by Saber and friends soon enough.

In the meantime, the Sheikah slips back into the shadows of the trees, remaining silently watchful.

Aiden was kind of off in her own land while she watched Saber, he did seem to be the leader of the group, and the one person she knew. Her bright gaze followed his hand with a soft caring frown. What had he done to himself? If anything, he needed the rest more than herself, she made a slight mental note to watch out for him. In fact, while she knew not what was going on, she'd stick close by his side without question. It was then she noticed that Saber was the first person she had ever felt so personally drawn to protect. Her heart throbbed in confusion, sure she wanted everyone to be safe, but was this different?

Her face flushed as her addressed her, her soft gaze meeting his almost.. shyly?! Swallowing softly she spoke in a concerned tone. "I'll be fine, but you need to rest and recover. I will sing and play happily for such a noble group, if it should be of.. use of course." She often found music soothed and had it's own way of healing.

Looking away from Saber's face she felt her flush begin to die down. It was then she caught the glint of a somewhat shiny, or at least reflective object. Curious she cautiously approached, then kicked at the grasses to get a better view. At once she slowly bent to pick up the object. Instantly she felt drawn to it! So far every trip she'd been trying to pick up a knick knack for the house and this was just perfect. Trying not to be spotted she slipped the goodie down her top and situated it just right, so it would be too obvious.

Kicking at a rock she sent it flying, as if that was all she had been looking at. Moving back to the group she was ready to leave.

"Noble group?" Saber repeated to himself, amused. He hardly considered himself noble. He continued to walk, stopping for a second when he heard a rustling. Turning around cautiously, he was instantly wary of someone else sneaking about. However, no sooner had he turned than a rock clashed against his hand, making him grunt a little in pain and release his saber hilt, shaking the stinging extremity around to ease the shock. Looking around, he saw Aiden with her leg partly raised--she had probably kicked the rock. He sighed a little--he was too tired to be angry over something right now. Silently, he turned and continued walking towards Ruto.
