~Pyraline stood waiting for him to open the door. Suddenly however Nathan's fist flashed forward, and Pyre's life was flashing before his eyes. Without even waiting to see what its final target was, the rich man gave out a wail, and covered his face with his arms, taking a wild step back.

Welcome to the Iron Brigade, jackass.

Only upon hearing these words, did he peep through a crack in his arms, to see that he was not going to be harmed. After assuring his safety, he lowered his arms, and reassumed his pompous manner, muttering audibly.

"Must have some moblin blood in him, he has a terrible temper... and looks hideous to boot."

Pyre flicked his, now slightly dishevled, hair out of his eyes, and strode forward, looking down the steps.

"Very well, I will join this... what did you call it? The Iron Brigade? What a tacky name. I'm sure that despite its obvious shortcomings, it must have some good points, though that seems to be asking quite a lot."

With that, and a quick, furtive, fearful glance at Nathan, he walked down the staircase to see who waited for him below.~

Zelda Veteran wrote:The days had been getting slightly cooler lately, and the Tantari Cafe, which was known for it's steamy food and and piping hot beverages, has become quite popular (as it always had this time of year). The newly placed glass doors seem welcoming as ever, as you step through them to see the bustling and busy restaurant. It was alive and thriving with customers, and employees were scrambling everywhere to fill the orders, as well as a familiar Zora who'd just joined the staff. A hallway extends outward away from the main dining center, and a door on each side of the hall leads to the restrooms.

However, further down the hall, past both restrooms, an iron door with a large crank lock on it lies at the end of the hall. Its a large door, big enough for even a Goron to fit through, and an imposing muscular looking man stands guard. He is wearing plated armor on his chest, shoulders, and sides, and he has a thick build with a muscular looking jaw. His brown and curly beard runs halfway down to his chest, and his large broadsword rested in a sheath at his side. His armor runs all the way down to his legs, and ends at his boots. Looks like you'd have to be exclusive to pass through the door.

He had seldom ever come to this place and stayed long on his way from North Castle to Ruto, and back. Whenever he was going somewhere, he tended to be in a hurry, and couldn't stop for the luxury of having a bite to eat or just sitting at a bar or something. But now his errand was here, so he could take in the marvel of being in the Tantari Cafe.

I'll have to hang around here a bit later, after I'm finished with my business regarding the Iron Brigade, though. knew Nogare as he walked down the hall. Straight ahead was an angry looking fellow, tall and muscular. Oh bother... he thought miserably. A guard. And a crude-looking one at that. Which means I have to talk to him to join... Just smile, and keep your cool, and be smart.

He approached the man he knew was named Nate, using his legendary spear Belegcam as a walking stick, and introduced himself. "Good morning, sir. My name is Nogare Blade, the son of Grayblade. I traveled for a day and a half to reach here with the errand to join the Iron Brigade. The troubles of South Hyrule trouble me as much as they trouble anyone involved in the Iron Brigade. I would have gone myself to defeat the Exiles, but I think I should need some help in doing that, and maybe a bit of extra muscle could help you complete the mutual cause."

Nathan snorted, and leaned down to the man's level. "Iron Brigade, huh?" The large hulking man, turned towards the door, and knocked a few times. "Hey Bard! We've got another one." He called out through his thick tangled beard. "This little club here is certainly starting to kick off! I reckon I should consider joining in, myself." He finally smiled, perhaps sensing no malice in Nogare Blade. "Son of Grayblade... Y'don't say? He's quite the warrior! I've heard rumors that he's skilled in many more weapons than just a sword." Nathan leaned against the door, and seemed to relax. "I don't know what it is about you..." He rubbed his chin, staring hard at the adventurer. "...But I feel like you have major potential; and I don't just say that to anyone!"

Before he could get another word in, a tiny window slid open in the giant door, and revealed two beady eyes. "You wish to join the Iron Brigade, eh?" The eyes disappeared from the window, and then it slammed shut. The crank on the door turned, and then the large door swung open, letting a blast of cool air hit the two men. "I'm Shigure Gravelot!" He extended a large Goronic hand, and smiled. "'Bout time we had a new recruit. All you've got to do is answer a few questions for Victor, and you're in." Shigure called down the stairs, beckoning the bard to the door.

Nogare bowed to Nathan. "Thank you, sir. I am greatly honoured."

Shigure came in, and Nogare's face became grimmer. Just four of us? will no others help to rise against the forces of the South?... Well, at least I do not face them alone. he sighed, and nodded. "All right. I will answer his questions.
