Hobbe knew that scrambling into an unlit place was never a safe thing to do, and even the cleric felt apprehensive. He swallowed the lump of fear weighting itself in his throat and told himself that he had been trapped in much darker places. He was becoming accustomed to it. With a short sigh he muttered something to the nomad about preferring daylight to cave spelunking any day, but these words were lost as he followed Saber into the depths. He cast a wry glance behind him - it did not comfort him to be going this alone, just the two of them.

Stepping into the darkness, he listened to his breathing reverberate off the unseen cave walls. He felt colder underground, so he made sure his hood was up for that extra warmth. Thinking better of the situation, he pressed doggedly onward.

"Well, Sabertache my friend, I will let you lead. Let us hope that we find your bald query - I'm quite ready for this underground holiday to be over already."

It took a while for even a Hylian to adjust his eyes to the sudden shift in light. They were in a dimly lit room, circular in shape, with three doors. Each was labeled under a different letter; from left to right, they were "S Wing", "T Wing", and "A Wing".

Saber's brown eyes glanced over each momentarily before heading towards the "S Wing" door. Taking a deep breath, he looked back at Hobbe. It seemed a bit strange for the Cleric to be following him in here. It couldn't be an appealing prospect for him, which he did in fact state himself.

"I hope to find him as well, though I have a feeling he isn't going to be the only one here." He shoved the door open with his blade raised, expecting a trap, but found nothing. It was an octagonal room with torches on the side walls and a door across the way.

OOC: If the labels on the wings didn't make it abundantly clear where Alpha and Tayro go...well, they do now that I've said this.

"What is this doing inside a mountain?" Normally he would have chastised himself for asking the obvious question, but he couldn't help it. Is it really possible, he wondered as he walked towards the center of the room, that the men I'm hunting built this?

He paused, listening to the crackling of the torches around him. He heard noise coming from the two side walls...one was just a light scuffling, the sound of movement. However, on the other side...a battle? His ears quivered. "Hobbe." He turned to face the Cleric, stepping towards the opposite door and shifting weight. "I'm pretty sure this is going to get haza--"

Thunk.

Something had shifted under his heel. A piercing shriek filled the room, blasting Saber's sensitive ears and sending him to his hands and knees. He struggled to stand as the shock began to fade, looking up towards Hobbes; the Cleric was still by the door, had plenty of time to make it out--

Pssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

The mercenary was standing, wobbling a bit on his feet as his hearing slowly recovered and the air began to tint the strangest green. He thought he shouted Hobbes' name again, but he couldn't make out his own voice. Within seconds he found himself on his knees again, and then he was out.
