"He didn't tell me anything Arrika!" Sovelis said, looking at her, a slight hurt look in his eyes. "He was asleep..and I could see what he was dreaming. I guess I'll have to show you..." he said as he grabbed her hand and forced her to see what the green-haired thief had seen.

An older Seth found himself crouched on the ground, drowning in his own blood. He looked up into his attacker's face for what he felt would be the last time. As it was a windy night, a gale blew away their hood, revealing a Sheikah's face, darkened by the shadows of her black hair. Such dark eyes, seemingly without emotion.

The Sheikah raised her arm to deliver the final blow with a jagged, blood stained sword.

"Stop." A figure behind Arrika moved, his voice high and cold. "I think the traitor has learned his lesson by now."

Without hesitating the Sheikah sheathed her blade, turning away sharply and putting on her hood again.

"Heh... but you know... someone had to try and stop you..." Seth felt himself say, the taste of blood filling his mouth. In his dream Seth felt himself switch into a third person view. So maybe he was wrong... maybe in the end, he would be the one to betray the Tempest.

"Happy now? I...didn't want to let you find out...because I thought I could change it..." Sovelis said, looking away from Arrika and frowning. "But I know now that I can't. This is the only time he could see our future...and it is what will happen...''

Arrika was stunned. "I'm going to kill him?" She said, her voice a little hoarse, and she was regretting not going along with Sovelis' way of avoiding it. "You can't change future, no matter how hard you try... You'll either cause it, or just make it worse. No. I think this is his end, no matter what we tried to do... What happened to Hyrule? Was it Hyrule at all? Maybe I shouldn't have..." She buried her head into the covers beneath her. "I can't picture myself doing that at all...." But if the Sheikah thought about it, the way things were going now Sovelis would probably be able to persuade her to do just about anything...

Sovelis crawled back over to her, and wrapped his arms around her. "I know...I know Arrika. But it can't be you! The girl I know is so full of joy, and couldn't hurt anyone." he said, trying to comfort her, to help her with what she had just seen. "Now...just calm down and lets rest a little before we go...okay?" Sovelis asked, running he hand over her hair and rocking her in his arms. "It'll all be okay...I promise..."

"Couldn't hurt anyone? You don't know me either then-" she started but was muffled as Sovelis swept her up in his arms. I can't run from that one no matter how hard I try... It'll catch up to me eventually... She forced her beating heart to relax, though, and think of nothing. "I guess I'll force myself to be a little nicer to him now, though..." Full of joy? Wrong again... Maybe forcing myself to smile for a year made me think I really meant it...

"You are. Don't let sorrow kill your joy Arrika. I...I know its hard to do that...but you have to. Why do you think I've fallen for you? Because you...you are a light. One that should be allowed to shine as brightly as it can no matter what! Because of that...I want to change the future, so we can live together in happiness. Not in a cursed, burnt world..." Sovelis said, hugging Arrika and doing his best not to break down.

"You can't change the future," Arrika insisted. "One day Hyrule will be destroyed, and it'll be my fault and yours. And maybe Seth, for as long as he sticks with us. And then maybe Rhyss, if he tries some stupid experiment again." She bit her tongue, wondering why she was so negative all of a sudden. But growing up fast, skipping your childhood almost entirely did that to you. Life sucked and you had to deal with it; if not, you might as well just give up and die, let the poor crows have something to eat, and maybe the stray cats or a Wolfos something to chew on.

Sighing deeply, Sovelis let go of Arrika and climbed off the bed. "If your going to be all 'GLOOM AND DOOM' then I'll be downstairs..." he said, grabbing his boots and walking towards the door. "You shouldn't be so...dark, Arrika. You still have your life ahead of you. And I'll find a way to stop what Seth saw...even if it kills me." And with that he walked out into the hallway, with a heavy heart and his hopes on the floor...

"Why bother?" Arrika said angrily after he had gone, slipping off the bed and kneeling on the floor. She slammed her head on one of the thick bed posts, swearing violently. "I'm so stupid. Why can't I just keep my mouth shut?" She bit her tongue so hard that she could taste blood. It didn't quench her unnatural thirst, though. She knew she would only rest if she stole someone else's. The Sheikah stayed that way for a minute or so, forcing herself to calm down. She dragged herself upwards, pulling on her boots as well and opening the door, trudging unwillingly downstairs.

Sovelis was hopping down the hallway, one boot on, and trying to get the other boot on his foot. "Why is it that anyone I meet always seems to get so depressed around me?" he asked himself out loud. "Am I just some vortex of sorrow? Am I that depressing to be around?" he was un-aware of Arrika behind him as he fell over, his boot still not on. "Dammit! CAN'T I EVER DO ANYTHING RIGHT!!!" the mage yelled as he sat up and threw the boot up against the wall. "Am I...that pathetic...."

"Hey, I'm the only one here allowed to be emo. But I guess that's something else we have in common..." Arrika said quietly. "...I'm sorry I'm such an immature brat. I didn't mean to be so depressing. It's my fault, not yours." She stared at the floor, the act of apologizing not very practiced to her. She hated admitting she was wrong, but it was the truth this time and she didn't want to be the first rift between her and the Tempest. "I've only been with you for a day, and we've already gotten pissed off at each other." She gave a wry smile.

"I'm not pissed. Its just...frustrating when I try to be open. It always ends up like this. I've kept everything bottled up so long, that I don't think I can open up to someone without something bad happening." Sovelis said, getting back to his feet. "And its not your fault Arrika. So don't blame yourself, alright?" he told the sheikah as he walked over to her. "Promise me that you won't blame yourself." he said, lifting her chin so that he could look into her eyes again.

OoC: To Sakiko- I know you're still reading this topic! And yea, what I'm saying below is what I really mean about you. Not to get all sappy or anything, lol, but I'm glad I have you.

IC: "Only if you leave the mood swings and 'gloom and doom' to me," Arrika replied. "And that's what I'm for. If anything every bothers you, you can tell me, you know? I wouldn't laugh or get annoyed or anything.... I'm tired of seeing people keep everything to themselves. It only makes it worse..." She said, thinking of Sakiko and how glad she was to finally find someone who would understand her troubles without making fun of her. Maybe one day soon she would know Sovelis well enough to do the same with him.

"Alright. I'll keep that all in mind. But your still my student. After we get back from this trip, we're going to start training you and Seth. Got it?" he said, smiling at Arrika again. "I'll try to be more open if your not all gloomy though." Sovelis walked over and picked his boot up and started to put it on. "Here I am...fifty-something years old, and I can't even put my boots on right. I must look pathetic...."

"Yes sir!" Arrika said, saluting him and grinning foolishly and remembering the "boot camp" style training Kobas had forced on her and Seth years ago. She hoped Sovelis wouldn't be that strict. Or make her sleep outside at night if she did something wrong. Then again, that was the least of Kobas's old punishments.

"Tired already?!" Kobas yelled.

Arrika struggled to get enough oxygen in her lungs to keep from passing out. "No- No sir!"

"Twenty more then! Seth, what the hell do you think you're doing?!"

They'd been practicing flash stepping back then, running and touching Rhyss' door and a tree yards away. Seth gulped a little as Kobas caught him trying to sneak off again. His face was red and he was having trouble standing upright.

"If you've got enough energy to complain and run away, then you can train for days on end. Got that?" Kobas shouted at him.

"Aw, Kobas, give the kids a break! They're going to pass out if you don't-" Rhyss was silenced with a steely glare.

"One day I won't be here, and you all have to learn how to take care of yourselves. SETH! GET THE HELL BACK HERE!" Kobas hurled a dagger at him, Seth jumping away at the last second, the dagger stabbing into a tree where Seth's hand had been a second ago. The green-haired thief then decided that it wasn't worth it anymore and took off for North Castle Town, running for his life as Kobas had chased him all the way there the last time.

Sovelis laughed at the memory that popped up in Arrika's head. "Hahahaha!! Don't worry! I'm not going to make you sleep outside. I'd rather have you sleep in my room." Sovelis said, nudging her in the side. "Unless your wanting to go camping sometime?" He walked towards the stairs, with his boot finally on his foot. As he started to go downstairs, he looked behind him and winked at the Thief behind him.
