suddenly...a crack, no two, no three, had formed in the rock, and it burst open...the beast roared, and charged strait towards nitara...

Ryk landed on the back of the beast, digging his claws into its skull. "Listen, I've told you before. Don't hurt girls. Nitara may be annoying, but she has the warrior's spirit, and I have respect for her. Hurt her, and get your worst nighmares realized."

Nitara hissed and her tail straightened out, "And I'll tell you Ryk, I CAN HANDLE MYSELF!" Two pillars of rocks with sharpened points came up out of the ground and stabbed into the beasts chest.

Ryk smiled. "I know that, love. Some of my best friends were fighters as good as you. I was just trying to teach ugly here some manners." Ryk stepped back, as on of the spikes almost impaled his foot.

Both attacks simply flew off the moster, and it chargted still, then grabbed nitara by the leg, and threw her again...

"ash nortothin, amorgoth amespedin!" the beast howled, then attached worru...

Ryk slipped under the beast, and began tickling it.

the beast stomped hard down on worru, crushing his body...the beast howled, then chaged into a wall, causingit t collapse, if it does that again, the whole cavern might collapse!

Ryk felt the crushing blow, but his body regenrated. He stood back up, his legs feeling like jelly, and roared at the beast. "My ugly friend, you have made an enemy this day! Feel the wrath of...RYOKIDEN!" He charged at the beast, ready to rip it apart.

Nitara quickly darted around the beast, making sure to stay out of Ryk's way, her tail got stuck under a falling rock and she lurched suddenly to the floor. Swearing she hurled the boulder into beast, her tail was one of the weakest points on her body, along with her ears, which had flattened against her white hair as she began to run again. She stared into the beasts eyes from a distance, searching for what the words that it had said may mean. She felt her power rush from her own eyes and into its, and than sensed her own thoughts entering its head as she openly searched for the answers she wanted.

What are you doing here? more importantly, WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN MY MIND?!? came the sresponse form the cretures head, it slowed to a halt mid batle, comletely oblivious to ryk, and starded at nitara. A mind reader, eh? it hads been a long time, are you not of this wold?

Ryk stopped, as he looked from Nitara, to the beast. He sat down, "Guess I can wait a minute then." His sharp claws dissapeared, and two shoulderpads, with the same color scheme, appeared, and from them, a long black cape. "Whe the beast stops talkin' with Fox-Girlie, then I beat the stuffin' out of 'im!" he said, stretching out his now flesh arms.

Yes, Came the reply. Nitara became less tensed as she was now entirely in the presence of the beast, and only slightly in her own. Her tail drooped down and her arms rested against her side. Indeed I am from another world. What is this language you speak anyway, it sounds familiar to me.

Orpheous look the time to sit still and rest. He had been working like a dog. He also tried thinking of a plan.
