"Heh? A door?" I know there are carpenters in Rauru town... but I've never stolen anything as big as a door. It can be done though... If only I had some help, it could go a lot faster. I hate to admit it, but I need Seth. "Piece of cake," she said, saluting him. "I'll be back in a hour or two. Maybe less. Any specific kind you want?"

"Um...I have extra doors in this room." Sovelis said, pointing at the door that they stood before (the one in the pic)
"I'm just wanting you to learn the value of har work. Maybe some actuall work will be the cure for your stick fingers...." Sovelis said, opening the sliding door and going in to the storage room. The seemingly HUGE room was filled with chairs, couches, tables, doors, beds, dressers, cabinets, and mirrors of every size, shape, and style imagonable.

"Oh." Arrika giggled. "Sorry. I just grew up learning that stealing solves everything." A door with glass caught her eye.
"How 'bout this one? Do you have a hammer or anything? And I know what hard work is! Stealing for a living isn't so easy, ya know."

Sovelis held up his left hand. The metal seemed to shine just because he was making a point. "Does it look like I need a hammer, my dear pupil? No. I have a metal hand. What do I need a hammer for."
Sovelis grabbed one end of the door, and waited for Arrika to grab the other. "Actually....the door just slides onto the hinges. Just gotta take the old ones off first." he daid, smiling at Arrika.

Arrika grabbed the other end of the door and with some effort managed to slide the door off the hinges, then dragged the new door to the same spot. It took more energy than she expected, as the new door was made of solid oak and weighed down with glass and metals. Then again, Kobas always said thieves were made for speed and not strength. Arrika looked at the Tempest suspiciously. This was way too easy; did he have a trick up his sleeve? Maybe the door would melt away, or burst into flames, or... No way. He wouldn't do that; Sovelis was smiling. But Arrika had become wary of people's smiles, and didn't fully trust the Tempest yet.

"Its not going to explode Arrika, so quit worrying." Sovelis said, reading her loud thoughts like a book. "I guess the first thing you'll need to learn is some mental control. What if you tried to pick someone's pocket, and they were able to hear your thoughts? Where would you end up?"
Sovelis helped Arrika place the new door into place, still smiling. "Thanks. And you'd do good not to think about me naked." he joked, nudging Arrika with his elbow and laughing as knew she was about to think it.

"I'd end up in jail... again," Arrika said, blushing a little as she couldn't help but keep thoughts of a nude Sovelis out of her mind. I bet he did that on purpose! Argh images will be stuck in my head for days now! "Or dead, maybe. But they couldn't catch me; I've evaded guards and tons of other people for years. I've only been in jail once, but the lock was easy enough to pick. Besides... it's not like a go after the mages most of the time. It's usually the skinny old women who own those huge manors or those slow grunts." She stretched her right arm and elbow from the strain. "The first person I ever pickpocketed was a Zora. He caught me at it and chased me for a long time down the alleys in town; I was white as a ghost, I was so scared from all the rumors of what happens to the thieves that get caught, and how they chop of your fingers or blind you... In the end I ducked into an open back door of someone's apartment. The lady there was nice enough and let me hide behind her couch."

''Just be lucky that most of the people who are telipathic are either gone somewhere, or their wanted criminals as well. Dogura Shadowclaw for instance. He's a very skilled samurai that is wanted by the Royal Guard. I'm not sure why...but a few months ago, I saw him SLAUGHTER several Soldiers while he was comming towards Rauru to hide out...more than likely it was a meating of the Twilight Guardians...." Sovelis took off his robes, tossing them next to his large armchair. He ploped down, wearing his the black tunic and pants he had been wearing at the castle. "Dogura lost to my powers. It took two blasts to subdue him. Lucky for him, the only guards around were the ones he had killed a few minutes before our fight....And now he's gone and disapeared agian...I've been meaning to seek him out and ask him what his plans are...now that I'm a traitor to the Crown...''
OoC: All of this happens after Alpha's Force of Gold: Catle Liberation Topic.
"So...tell me about yourself Arrika...Let us trade our stories with each other..." the Tempest said to his pupil.

"Why? What'd you do?" Arrika asked, thinking you'd have to do something exceptionally evil to be on the bad side of the Royal Family. "I think you know a lot about me already, don't you? I don't have much memory of before meeting up with Kobas, except that it was really hard," she said with a reminiscing smile on her face. "Winters were the worst." She hugged herself to her knees, as if she were feeling the harsh, biting winds and snow at that moment. "I really don't know how I managed to live before joining him. I think I was reeeaaallly skinny. When Seth joined up we ate a lot of fried fish. He likes fish," Arrika said. "We all used to pull crazy stunts; they were all Kobas's idea and Rhyss thought they were stupid, but me and Seth thought it was a lot more interesting than the regular hit-and-run. Since I was the only girl they liked to use me as bait sometimes; you can't imagine how many perverts there are in Hyrule. Or how many guys are so weak-minded they'll listen to whatever a girl says. Kobas would stab him if I couldn't get the wallet quick enough, but later on I got brave enough to do it on my own," the Sheikah grinned. "Seth used to hate me," she continued. "I think he still doesn't like me, but at least he makes eye contact now. He was always jealous because he thought Kobas liked me more. He still is, and he stole my chain sickle and a ton of money I'd been saving up. Rhyss likes him more even though he pretends to hate him. I can tell, but I'm sure that even though Seth's psychic he'll never admit that it's true."
Seth had lost track of Sovelis and his lantern on the way to his house in the dark. He wasn't scared, though; darkness was his element and in some ways he felt safer than in the light. He got lost and followed a Poe for some time until he realized the lantern it held had a different colored flame. Ready to give up and search in the morning, he found a regular sized house and decided to spend the night there. Climbing into the window with ease, he found himself in a kitchen. A massive kitchen, way bigger than he expected a regular sized house to hold, with 2 marble islands in the center and huge cupboards. Seth's stomach rumbled; Rhyss was right for once. He was always hungry. Pulling open a cupboard door, he found it stocked with many different foods he couldn't even name. His eyes glazed over with delight and he grabbed an apple and started to eat. "Maybe I should take some with me. Winter's coming," he said aloud, then pricked up his sharp Hylian ears. Someone was talking in a nearby room. Sounded like a girl too.
The thief crept silently across the tiled kitchen floor, pressing his ear to a door. It wasn't locked and he pushed it open slightly, and he could see a large armchair and a glint of metal. So his intuition had been right; this was Sovelis's house. On the floor in front of the Tempest was Arrika, and Seth had the feeling she was talking about him.

"I...am sorry Arrika..." Sovelis said, looking at her with a glimmer of regretfullnes in his eyes. "I was born and raised in a large city. I went to school, I had friends, my parents had jobs. I lived a normal life. Then I was given the choice of becoming a Tempest, or dieing in an crash. I had no choice really. Thats how they chose a us. Waiting or causing something to happen, and then giving us the choie of power, or death..."
Sovelis motioned at Seth with his automail hand. "Come in here Seth. Theirs no need to be sneeky here." He said, letting the boy know that he was aware of him being in the house.

"If I had been you, I would have chosen to live too," Arrika said.
Seth gritted his teeth in annoyance and reluctantly appeared at the Tempest's side.
"Hey, brat, I know you were eavesdropping! You owe me money! And gimme back my chain sickle!" Arrika said angrily when she saw him.
"First time you see me in months and you don't even say a plain 'hello'?" Seth said with a hint of a smile.
Arrika grabbed him by his long Hylian ears and gave them a sharp twist. "rgh! Freakin- Okay! Okay! Sorry sorry I'll give it all back!" Seth shouted in pain.
"You'd better," Arrika said, giving him an extra slap on the head. To Seth's surprise, she hugged him next. "You little idiot. Were you trying to make me think you'd disappeared too? Have you seen Rhyss?"
"I wasn't trying. I just felt like being alone," Seth said. "And yeah, I've seen Rhyss. No, he hasn't changed. Well, not personality-wise. Mirielle just gave him his own pet demon, and he's thrilled," Seth said.
"Still psychic, then?"
"Yeah... huh..." Seth grabbed Arrika's arm, his eyes zoning out for a second. "Sovelis is gonna open that watch? Finally..." He then had a confused look on his face."Woah. Raining mages? You're gonna get hit by one." To Arrika's blank stare, although he could tell she was thinking Sovelis was going to hit her for some reason, he said, "I don't mean like they're gonna punch you. One's gonna fall on top of you."
"What? I swear, your predictions get wackier ever day."
"Hey, it's not my fault they always come true," Seth said, yawning. "Hey, if Arrika's gonna tell her life story can I have a go too? Wait, take it back, I think I did when I followed you here from Rhyss's house," he said to the Tempest.
"You should sleep. You look really tired."
"I'm not-" he yawned again- "tired... Okay maybe a little. And hungry."
Arrika rolled her eyes. "Are you like one of those black hole things Rhyss was talking about?"
"I don't believe in those. I don't even believe in this "space" concept, okay? All I know is that there's here, sky and clouds, then the Goddesses' Realm. Some of that stuff he studies is a load of garbage."
OoC: About the mage falling on top of Arrika prediction, it was my friend's Sakiko's idea of meeting me.

"Black Holes are real Seth. Scientific observation, and my own personal experience with a black hole is enough evidence." Sovelis said, Looking at his third pupil. "I'm not even sure how to teach you two. My last batch of students went all evil on me, and I've killed one so far...." he said, remembering his fight with Dante, and how he killed his pupil. The image of the young man, with the Tempest Blade jutting through his chest stood out in Sovelis's mind, enough so that Seth could probably see it through the Tempest's mental defences.
"A dark Tempest is known as a Sempari. You two will probably meet them sooner or later...if their still in Hyrule." Sovelis said, standing up from his chair. "I'll show you two your rooms, if you'd like." he smiled at his new pupils, the memories of Dante still in his mind. "I'm sure that you'll both do fine." he said as he left the living room, and stepped back into the hallway that he and Arrika had walked through.

Seth narrowed his eyes at Sovelis's thoughts but followed him eagerly. "Oh! Oh! Does my room have those silk curtains and is the bed a huge 4-poster one with a canopy and are the pillows stuffed with goose down and covered in real velvet and..." he blabbered on and on, and Arrika couldn't help but smile.
"I wouldn't go all evil on you!" Arrika said.
"Are you sure?" Seth looked at her slyly and gripped her arm again.
"Stop that, Seth, you're just trying to scare me! How do you know you won't?"
"Because I've been waiting for a teacher all my life! I wouldn't turn against him, even if I hated him," he said truthfully. "But I know you would, Arrika, if you had enough reason."
"No I won't," Arrika said stubbornly. "I'll even kill the Sempari for you, Sovelis!"
"Good luck with that," Seth mumbled.

Sovelis didn't awnser the two following him. He walked down the hallway, lost in his own thoughts, and talking to himself. Was this realy a good idea? Taking in these two into my home...not even trying to see what the oracle had to say about them...Well, I guess time will tell...
Sovelis stopped next to another door. "This is your room Seth. This room isn't girly, so you should feel comfy. Arrika, your rooms up on the next floor." Sovelis said, opening the door to Seth's new room. "I'll show you to your room in a minute. I need to talk to Seth alone. Just wait in the hall. And DO NOT WANDER OFF." he said the last three words with a trace of power, so that they would stick in Arrika's mind.
Sovelis lead Seth into the room, and closed the door. "I want you to tell me something. What is it that you want me to teach you, and what do you know about me that I HAVEN'T said to you yet?" the Tempest said forcefully to Seth, his eyes turning a gold color as he stared at the young theif.

Arrika watched Sovelis close the door behind him, and automatically put her ear to the wall a little farther away. If she slowed her breathing enough, she would be able to hear most of the conversation...
"I don't really know what I want you to teach me," Seth said. "You know what's weird? I've been waiting for forever for someone like you to come along, and when you finally did I don't know what to say... I don't care what you teach me. Just something worthwhile. Just make me stronger! I'm tired of being so weak and letting stronger people fight for me. One of my younger sisters died. And you know why?" He stared Sovelis straight in the eyes. "Because I couldn't protect her. We were scavenging one night, back when I still lived with my mum, and for some reason a Wolfos was loose in town. It followed us, and I couldn't get home fast enough, and we tried to run... She tripped over a loose stone from the road, and then it...." The green-haired thief took a deep breath. "I knew she wasn't going to make it. I saw it once I noticed that Wolfos, so I didn't bother doing anything to help. I didn't see whether I would make it or not, so I just ran..." Seth crossed his arms and looked down. "As to what I know about you... Your name was Cody or something, wasn't it?" The psychic thief closed his eyes, a serene look on his face. "Your arm wasn't normal when you were born, so these doctors gave you that metal arm. You lived in a really strange place. There wasn't any magic, or auras, or anything. There was only metal. Metal and steel machines. There was this big metal thing on wheels, a ... car? It was coming at you. Your heart began to beat so fast, because you knew you were going to die. And then... time just stopped, and this person, they asked you to come with them. You didn't hesitate at all. Were you scared of dying? Of the dark unknown, because who knows what happens to your soul when you die? You became a Tempest at an unimaginable rate, rising up the ranks. You were the youngest one there, and you became the Shanra'kahal. The Highest Tempest, and now you're the last one left... You had another pupil. Her name was Aria, Kasei's granddaughter. Arrika was outside your transmutation circle, although you didn't know it. Her mind was full of blood...." His voice trailed off, his own thoughts filled with crimson red.
Outside, Arrika couldn't hear any more. Seth must be getting really emotional for his voice to fade away like that. Reasoning she wouldn't hear any more, she stood up and walked down the dark hallway only lit by a few candles on the walls. This place was so vast and huge, like that space Rhyss talked about. She wondered if it stretched on forever and although Sovelis had told her not to wander, she couldn't help but keep going.
