The hand that was being examined by Sakiko was wierd. On the palm, after removing the dagger, there was a few ancient Hylian words in small print. This might be a 'handy' clue.

Kobas would now enter the room, and he would see the same thing; blood everywhere, and a hand. As he invisibly moved around, he would be distracted by another sound; a creak at the door. There was another man there. Denkou, with a more-serious-than-usual look on his face.

"What's that?" The thief inquired. In a flash, the severed hand was in his grasp, and he was dangling it by the pinkie. "What's written on it? Hey, invisible guy!" He yelled, addressing Kobas. "You a shiekah, right? Can you translate this?"

Kobas was shocked at being addressed; Denkou would not have been able to tell he was there unless he was a highly trained vagabond himself.

The rogue let his invisibility slip away, his sudden appearance sure to frighten Sakiko a bit. "I'm only half Sheikah... but I can understand ancient Hylian just as well."

Unwilling to touch the severed hand himself he knelt down to decipher the writing.

I knew it. His heartbeat and breathing were well controlled, as was his body-heat. But still, I could sense all three. I had thought that it was just this girl over-reacting, but I guess there was someone else here. Lucky guess. Denkou mused silently.

As Kobas looked at the writing, he would see that it only said one thing; "Knowledge is infinite." Over and over, line after line, on the hand.

Someone was tattoo and book obsesed.

"Well, isn't that disturbing."

Without warning yet another Sheikah drops his Shadowmeld - Alpha appears on the scene, rubbing his chin as he gazes at the hand in bewilderment. He doesn't even seem aware of the other people in the room, even the one called Kobas who he appears kneeling next to; all he gazes at is the defiled flesh as he ponders who would have left such a note. "Though I can't exactly disagree with the message itself . . . I would have to question the method of delivery," he mutters after a few seconds. Being a full-blooded Sheikah, and not only that but a Scholar, it makes perfect sense for him to be able to decipher the language with little difficulty.

He finally glances up at Kobas, completely ignores Denkou, and moves his eyes back to the snow haired Sakiko. "Odd, wouldn't you agree?"

If there's someone else hidden here, kindly show yourselves. I'm done with surprises today. Kobas shot mentally across the room, his last good eye scanning the empty air around him suspiciously before responding to Alpha and Denkou.

"Knowledge is infinite... But it can be cruel as well... one can find themselves in sticky situations if they know too much, isn't that right..?" Kobas murmured. "What now?" He said, his words barely more than a whisper. "The owner of this hand is long gone, and at this point in time, unless we find some other clue, we're at another dead end."

OOC: Well, as the walkthrough and Solution for this investigation were both deleted when my computer crashed, i'll have to do this by memory only. :D
Also, today i'm in pain. I had to dance for THREE HOURS in the memorial day parade. My feet hurt . . .

IC: Denkou's heart almost blew up as the shiekahn Alpha appeared from nowhere, apparently not known to the lightning thief, who had jumped a few feet away from the man. "O-oi, don't just ignore me!" He demanded timidly, knowing full well Alpha could probably destroy him withought Kasei knowing. He then turns to Kobas. "Well . . . hey, if this hand is here, then it belongs to whoever did the murder, right? We can get some kind of necromancer (HINT HINT) to find out who did this.

Up on the roof, Kasei was still staring Sovelis down. "Well, demon? Care to try and end me with this name?" He drew his weapon with his right hand, and raised his left hand to the sky, throwing up a flare.

"The guards will be here any minuet. You had best use this time to escape." The Rebel Flame suggested.
