OOC: WARNING! THIS TOPIC IS NOT FOR THOSE WHO DO NOT LIKE GORE! IF YOU AREN'T OKAY WITH CORPES SO FUBAR* THAT THEY ARE DISTURBING, DO NOT READ THIS!
*FUBAR: Fucked Up Beyond All Recognition
IC: The town of New Peaktop was abuzz with the latest news. News traveled fast in this town, and the more shocking the news, the faster it got around. It was like a plague. Still, everyone was talking about it; a family had been murdered in the night, rather grousomely, too. Their blood seemed to decorate their house, it was on the windows and the doors. People passing by the building were horrified.
It was not a murder that had shocked people, but who was murdered. It was a family of travelers who had vital information for the king of Hyrule, and were to meet with Hylian officials today. Apparently, the house was protected by all sorts of spells and barricades. The fact that noone noticed the murders until mid-day was also kinda scary.
You heard the rumors, and have approached the house. You see that several people were there already; hylian knights, by the looks of their armor. They had no sealing off the area, so you could freely walk in, which is what you did.
The rumors do no justice to this. Blood was splattered everywhere. Pictures, vases, all the windows. The family must've tried to escape from every room before being killed. You pass the main room, almost a few feet into the house, when you see the main sight; the corpses. It was a family of four; the parents and two children, a boy and a younger girl. The bodies were spread all over the room, with the father being closest to the entrance. The corpses looked like they had to endure a combination of stabbings, burnings, shreddings, and dismemberment. It was a grousome sight; the mother had her ribcage pulled out of her chest. The girl's head lay a few feet from the body, a knife through the brains. The boy lay in the middle of the room, facedown, countless swords impaled in his back, arms ripped from the body.
The sight was sickening, if you haven't thrown up by now, kudos, you're one sick bastard.
After getting over the grousome sight, you notice the other, living, people in the room; hylian officials, and Kasei, who was standing over the body of the girl, a hardened look in his eyes.
"Everyone," He said in a cracked voice, the other went to attention, "I want the ENTIRE area searched. Investigate EVERYONE in this town. If anyone tries to leave withought being questioned, detain them. If they resist, use force." He ordered, and the men nodded, and quickly filed out of the room.
A tear fell down Kasei's face, and he bent down in front of the girl's corpse, praying.

Looks like I had better get out of here before someone sees me. Sovelis thought inwardly, pulling the dark brown cloak tighter, making sure that his tan scarf hadn't fallen from its place or shifter down his face. Its been a while since Rauru, but I'm still such a wanted criminal... And Kasei is down there... That makes this worse. the Tempest looked around at the soldiers from his hiding place; three stories up, looking down at the house from a window. Someone killed those people before I could reach them... They would have made good hostages... Added some leverage onto my plate.
He started to move away from the window, when he saw a few soldiers moving towards the building he was hiding within. "I don't want to kill anyone today... Not after promising Arrika that I wouldn't do anything like that... I have to get out of here. Now." Sovelis spoke quietly to himself, and moved towards the small staircase. The roof is my best bet. If the corner me there, then I can jump to the ground. No one should know its me so they won't expect someone to jump to their death...
As the human climbed the stairs, he could hear the Soldiers entering the building down below, their armor clacking and their heavy boots shaking the building as the rushed to find anyone to blame for the deaths of that family. Sovelis reached the door that lead out onto the roof, and opened it quickly. He stepped out onto the bright, sunshine lite rooftop and shut the door, barring it with a slat of wood that was made for locking the door to keep someone inside. Lets see them find me...

' Was that a rat?I heard something,"declared Dmetri. He looked at the four family members, all slaughtered by a madman. He heard something up stairs, but it was probaly best to ignore it since a mystery was upon them.he heard it again and got the feeling that someone was actually up there. He got his staff out and got a spell already in his mind.He slowly staggered near the staircase and stopped to listen. He continued to walk and was already up one sixth of the stairs.Could this be the murderer hiding up there? He was going to find out without hesitation.
OoC:These are just ideas and you can choose not to do this, but Kasei could blame me since I'm armed and walking around the house suspicousley or Sovelis could distract me to lead Dmetri away.

"Well, Rhyss, what do you think?"
The blue-haired rogue peered through one of the heavily blood-stained windows pensively. No, he hadn't thrown up, having been used to such death and gore, but he was slightly sickened, although it did not show on his face.
"I think we should get the hell out of here before we get blamed for this," Rhyss said dryly. Hiyagi barked in response, pacing restlessly. The stench of blood clogged the wolf's senses.
"They had information. We could still get it if we acted now, you know. Think of the reward!" Kobas offered.
"I don't particularly enjoy calling forth newly dead spirits. Sometimes they're even harder to control than the old ones," Rhyss replied.
Hiyagi made a growling noise, looking pointedly towards the roof of the house.
"Someone's up there, Kobas..." The red-haired mage murmured softly. "Should I freeze them? Or do you want to jump up and take a look?"
With a flash Kobas had jumped straight onto the roof from the ground so fast it was as if he had teleported. His blade was at Sovelis's throat before he realized it was the Tempest.

"Goddesses, the filth of it all."
Xeon grimaced, his nose wrinkled. His face had on an expression of disgust, and he himself wondered if it was because of the disgusting gore laying around, or the mere sight of innocent people dead. Either way, he didn't plan on staying too long. He could almost see the germs flying about, landing on his clothes, his hair... Xeon shivered, his eyebrows raised. Amused, he wondered if he could bring the dead alive, just for a little while... but the sight of Kasei brooding over the corpses touched him in a way that he had never felt before. True, he was a cold human being, polite and suave on the outside. It had been a long while since he had shed a tear for another... sympathizing was not his style.
The Necromancer shifted, his boots created small clicks as he wondered about. Who could have killed so many? And why? The mage folded his arms about his chest, darkly glaring at anyone present. Any of them here could have murdered them... He rubbed his hands together, licking his lips delightfully. Kasei's last words, "use force" had a nice ring to it. His purple irises caught sight of murmuring men nearby, and he saw as one jumped through the roof. His frown deepened. What the...? He made his way towards them, carefully jumping over the splatters of blood. He called out to the one called Rhyss,
"Excuse me..."

"You'll take that blade away from my throat if you know what's good for you, Kobas." Sovelis' voice was muffled, but still recognizable to anyone who knew him well enough. His eyes squinted menacingly at the blue-haired thief, almost as threatening as his words had been. "If your here, then Rhyss must be here too..." the Tempest reached up and grabbed Kobas' sword with his right hand, gripping the blade tightly with the fleshy fingers that had caused so much suffering. "I had come here to capture those people, for the what they had know. But someone else killed them before I could... Extract the information from them... before I could even find them. Now my plan has gone to hell, just like every other plan I have ever come up with... why do I even bother any more?"
Sovelis pushed away the sword, and stepped towards the edge of the ten-story building. He looked down at the house where the family had been murdered, no... Slaughtered the night before. "Now I had better get out of here before Kasei tries to capture me. The same goes for you and Rhyss. Go to Tantari Rock, or his house... or even my home if you must. Do not get caught by the Hylians, or the Rebel Flame. I'll distract them all and let you both get away before I make my escape..."

Before Xeon left, he would have probably noticed something interesting; Kasei had vanished. To where, of course, is obvious; Sovelis.
"Excuse me," Kasei's forced voice came as he grabbed Sovelis' mechanical arm. The Rebel Flame appeared on the rooftop in a heartbeat. "But I have no intention of letting you escape. Not after this." The shiekah said, emotionless. he tightened his grip slightly on Sovelis' mechanical arm; the metal was obviously being crushed.
"Now, I have a few questions," Kasei said, pulling Sovelis closer, and ignoring the others. "Failing to be able to kill soldiers or even me; you move to massacreing of innocents! You are truly a heartless beast!" Kasei says, bringing his other hand up to bunch Sovelis in the face. HARD.
"You. Die, and be damned to eternal hell."
OOC: No, this is not a request for battle. As I have stated, first, we need to do some investigation to find out exactly what happened and who killed them. Trust me, the answer is interesting.

"Have you learned nothing...."
Koramanos. Setsu No Donatsu Kalima- Level Four Limit; Open!
Sovelis's body immediately powered up with the opening of three of the Limit Seals, the very air itself around him seemed to become heavy with power. Even with his mechanical arm being crushed, he felt no pain due to the fact that it was his mechanical arm. He brought his right hand up and grabbed Kasei's fist in his own, blocking the punch that would have surely sent him off of the top of the building. "I did nothing here today, my old friend. I was going to capture those people alive, and unharmed. Hostages work better if you don't hurt them at all, don't you agree?"
The Tempest glared at Kasei from behind his scarf and under his hood. The brown and tan materials had stayed in place, somehow staying there even with the commotion. "Someone else killed that family. I was going to simply capture them, and use them as bartering chips to gain some leeway for safety for Arrika and Seth... notthing more and nothing less."

" Halt!Stop!Sovelis must have a fair trial if he is to blamed and you must have evidence to support your arguement,Kasei.I believe in justice and libert, and liberty and justice it shall be...Sovelis,please take out your blade. This could prove that he hasn't killed innocents, but the blade must be clean, not bloody for himself to be believed. But that is but one part of the test of truths,my friend. We must continue our search further,"said Dmetri, trying to defend the innocent.

"Hnnn?" Rhyss said, raising an eyebrow. He recognized Xeon, and thankfully Kasei had disappeared, leaving him to freely investigate the house. With a whirl he teleported right next to Xeon. "A Necromancer... I can tell by the way you look at the bodies..." Rhyss had much respect for masters of the dark arts, as they were usually much harder than regular magic and not many magicians were able to deal with the dead.
Kobas wrenched his arm away, and the sword Sovelis grabbed with his bare hand dissolved at the same time. With the blinding flash of a Deku nut he disappeared, winking at Kasei a second before and not wanting to get involved much.
That's rather valiant of you... Kobas said telepathically to the Tempest, although he was nowhere to be seen. His voice was slightly amused as Sovelis mentioned Seth and Arrika. Hey, I taught them how to take care of themselves. They're not completely helpless, you know... And do you really think that Rhyss and I would have any trouble getting away? The master rogue's laugh echoed through the Tempest's mind.

The acidic taste of bile coated the back of Sakiko's throat as she stared in a dazed state at the corpses. It was something that she had never seen, and it was so gruesome. Her eyes flickered to the corpse of the girl, then to the boy. She couldn't help but think of their relationship. She wondered what their last words were before they were killed... did the boy try to protect the girl as this murder occured? These thoughts incited a flame of hatred towards the murderer. He or she had taken the innocent lives of those who had yet to live. What could've caused someone to take such an action? Disgusting.
She was glad that Zapheta and Laido weren't here - the bard was nursing her lover back to health, as he was dealt heavily in the last battle. Sakiko had a creeping suspicion against the dark side - one of them had probably done this. The mage walked closer to the bodies, examining the weapons used in this murder. She wanted to see if they had a certain characteristic to them that may have distinguished a certain group over another to be charged for this killing spree.
Sakiko turned around, hearing voices. She hadn't been aware of the others until now. Her eyes detected Xeon - someone she had met before - and Rhyss. Her eyes narrowed. She had seen Rhyss to be in the dark side, and it bothered her that he was here... She felt several more strings of aura coming from the top of the building, but she ignored them for now... Not wanting to seem too obvious, Sakiko turned back to blankly stare at the weapons.

"Even if I had killed them... I wouldn't need a weapon to kill with. I am my own sword when I must be." Sovelis looked down at the Deku Scrub, noticing the small plant being for the first time. "My sword is not here with me anyways... I left it in Rauru after the battle had taken place... I am unfit to wield the Tempest Blade any longer." he now turned his gaze back to Kasei, letting go of his fist. He pulled the hood of his brown cloak off, and tugged the scarf down, letting it hang loosely around his neck. "It is your choice to believe me or not to. You yourself know that I am capable of doing when I must... and If I must, I'll fight to get away, Busted up arm or not."

Dmetri has now been convinced that the tempest has been telling the truth and did not murder anyone." I do not wish to side with a corrupted man who chooses evil, but it is the only fair choice.I think Sovelis is being honest. But an insider must have done this work of hatred.Someone who maybe was here before anyone else.Someone who goes over the edge.I think our murderer is Kasei;your reactions give it away."

"such nonsense! STOP!" Azador appeared on the rooftop.
In his hand the orb he stole from his master, he merely used it to teleport up to the roof when he heard the familiar voices of fellow adventurers.
"It seems nobody has seen what exactly happend, all we know is that an innocent family has been murdered.
Now tell me Kasei, why would Sovelis do that?
What is there for him to gain by doing so?"
The mage asked as calm as possible.

"Tsk."
Kasei ripped off Sovelis' metal arm. The Rebel Flame had not let go of the appendage. He moved back and stared across to Sovelis with anything but sympathy. "You, Deku," He said to Dmitri, "and Azador," he adressed his freind, "be quite."
Kasei faced Sovelis. He dropped the arm. In a flash, his hand had Sovelis by the collar, and Kasei was holding the tempest in the air. "I used to trust you as I would trust my own shadow. I know now that that choice was a mistake. Show me proof that you are not the one who killed them!" The Rebel Flame said, ready to incinerate Sovelis.
OOC: Sovelis, this is where you just calmly go with it. For now, someone go downstairs and look for proof. NOW! Or else we'll be serving tempest stew.
