I've been thinking over this one for a long, long time now, and I think I have finally come to a desicion. So here we go.

It all began with antithesis. It just seems like Blank and Saber haven't been doing enough to a level far beyond their usual. I felt like KP was more active than usual, but he won last month, so that ruled him out. NPC Dungeon Master has one excellent thread, but I don't have enough of a reading on him because he only has one. I haven't seen anything from Kasei that caught my eye, so I didn't even think of him in my desicion.

Ultimately, I don't know if this is against the voting rules now or not, but I vote Alpha. He created one of the best posts I have ever seen on this forum durinng August. Actually, he made one of the best double posts I have even seen, but that was only because it was too long already. The writing was fantastic, as was the material involved. FoG is becoming amazing, AND Alpha wrote up the rules and began Jade Cabinet. Maybe he's permanently illegible because he's won too much, but my vote goes unerringly to...

Alpha. I think the Head Administrator deserves to win.

I vote Alpha as well. But it's more than just rper of the month...it's...RPer of the site practically. His posts are consistantly amazing instead of being sometimes good and sometimes bad. Also, instead of his posts being long and bad or short and really good, they are long and really really good! He is also very active. When I first started off going on this site last summer, he was very active, and he still is, a year later.

Pabru is right though, it's almost like he's illegible because he's won so many times. (I read back to some of the first rpers of the month, when Alpha was new on the site, and he won after 5 days of rping on it...0_o)

I can't really find anyone else to vote for, to be honest, none of the thread's really held my attention like his did...

Ok this is so dumb, dumb not being my choice word. I would like to point out this is all about being RPer of the month not POSTER.

Warning, blunt and somewhat cruel honesty coming:

Alpha is a sweet and awesome cool guy.. what not, but he doesn't do much. Yes, his posts are good and that one was huge, but he doesn't get involved in many topics. Nor does he make many, so how he improves the activity of the site, I'll never know. In any case, that is all still about POSTs and POSTING, which is not what RPer of the month is supposed to be centered around. Sure, it's a part, but not a whole. Alpha doesn't help with any one else's character work or storylines, in fact, he hardly chats outside of HA2 ic. Another thing about rper of the month should be character and while Alpha is a interesting character, he's not solid. If you really look into the posts and the different locations, things don't match up all the time, but that's understandable, NO ONE is perfect.

Well, at least I got rper of the month once.. 'cause after this.. no one will like me.

I understand what you're saying, but I still stick by my descicion. I just can't think of anyone more deserving. Maybe it's because I'm new, but it seems like no one else is trying to make their posts better... It seems like every one of Alpha's rps have a lot of thought into them, while other people use excuses like: 'I'll make my post longer and better next time, I promise.' I'd rather not have a promise, but actually see them go out with it.

He has good reason for not being here. He's busy with life. He has one. We should respect and admire that. We all know that one of the greatest among us is Alpha. The only reason I don't vote for him is because he's won too much. Some of us haven't won at all, even if we are really good, some of us once or twice, and Alpha has been elected 5 times. In a few years once a few of us have been elected 6 or so times, I'll vote again for Alpha... Alpha does deserve this all the time, but if someone deserved it and got it, then they'd be so powerful with TPs that there would be no such thing as challenge for him and no chance of victory for any of us who face him in a place such as the Grand Tourney. Soon he wouldn't be fun to have around, as far as stats go, and I'm sure none of us like that idea.

I think this is about to get ugly, as far as the voting itself goes... five candidates. If I may recommend an idea to the RGs, since I know it will pace things up, since we know that it will take too long for people to actually vote, I say whoever has the least TPs should be elected among the candidates. >_< Sorry, Kasei, but I don't think NPC Dungeon Master should count...

That is a valid point. We need to remember that this is voting for August, and September events shouldn't sway the results. At least it's not as tricky as when we were two months or so behind.

If I may recommend an idea to the RGs, since I know it will pace things up, since we know that it will take too long for people to actually vote, I say whoever has the least TPs should be elected among the candidates.

Thing is, we should be voting on who did the best RPing during the month, not who's got the lowest amount of TP. I mean, if we did that, someone with one vote could surpass several better RPers with two votes. Although that would make me win if NPC didn't win, I'm not sure that's the best way to go about it.

This is a toughie for me though. The things I try to take into account...hmm...it's not just the quality/length of the posts, but also the frequency of the posts and what they do with them. I mean, if someone did nothing but crash other people's storylines, I wouldn't give a damn how great their posts were.I guess I try to see who's contributed to HA2 the most in that month, who's made it more enjoyable for other people. I'm still not sure who I would vote for here though. I mean, Alpha is a great poster. There's no doubt about that. But there are other people who, despite maybe having slightly lower quality, have been posting more frequently and in a broader range of topics than he has. It'll definitely be taking more thought.

Overall, though, there is no set criteria for who can be RPer of the Month, unless they won within the last three months. We can't just tell someone their vote doesn't count, it's their own personal opinion. But maybe a criteria should be made? I'm not sure.

Okay, I agree with that, I'll wait until we vote for this month I suppose. I thought this would already be september nominations 0_o

I know a majority of us have a life, Saber, but he doesn't have much time because has much to do. He has a lot of things to do... (>.>... He accepted the offer to help with Age, I swear! I didn't pressure him or anything!!), and becomes busy.

Personally, I don't agree about how many posts he does, but I do agree with what that person does to help the site. All of us have heard the saying Quality, not Quantity. You could make a hundred posts, but if they don't get very far into your story, and don't do much for the story, I would prefer to vote for the one who did a lot of work in only a few posts. No doubt Alpha does that... but still, VOTE FOR KASEI .

Oh, and Saber, the reason I said not to vote for NPC Dungeon Master is because he's ahead of you.

After much annoyance at how you people are taking this out of hand, I vote for SABERTACHE. Now, some may be annoyed at me for voting for him, but let me be honest, the man has helped me with a few matters, and he has also worked hard on his JaR storyline, and has also tried to keep the two RG events running.
